Monday morning I was just filling up at the service station and about to head off to work down the M42 but where to find good coffee at this time so I checked The Cutting Garden Cafe opening hours as I'd been once before "perfect it's open" It's a charming little place tucked away at the back of the quaint village of Appleby Magna with friendly staff and nice atmosphere ,they offer good home made food, fabulous cakes and there own cut flower garden where you can sit under dappled shade and enjoy the country views. Advertised outside is St Martins Coffee Roasters which is a good sign, I ordered a cappuccino however I was a bit disappointed there was way to much milk it was more like a Latte with no taste of good arabica coffee...and with the price I paid I expected better. I will come back again though maybe I should have a...

Fantastic little cafe ☕️ 🇬🇧. I cycled over to judge for myself the service and cake portion size, as always I read between the lines of the whinging reviews. Small businesses trying to make a living and to please the general public must be hard at times. I can safely say the service was more than satisfactory 👍🏼, friendly staff 👍🏼,cake portion size was very generous 👍🏼, the coffee was amazing and prepared freshly😍, It’s was an amazing shopper experience, and felt value for money 🥰, If you want fast food and coffee that is full of crap and you’re just a number and not a customer, I would suggest you go to a franchise shop . Personally I enjoy my time going to independent little coffee shops 😍. I can safely say I had a great...

This is a lovely little cafe tucked away, beautiful decor and very welcoming. Our drinks arrived quite quickly but we had finished them before the food arrived. My friend and I ordered beef with horseradish and ham with tomato on sour bread. The beef was slightly dry ( a piece of ham was also stuck to the beef) and think I had crusts from both ends of the loaf which made it dry and very hard to get through. My friend’s ham was fine, just a shame it lacked presentation as two big chunks of tomato were hanging out of the bread. We decided to order dessert and chose chocolate and caramel shortcake which was delicious. Unfortunately the overall experience was a bit...

I'm sure this place could be really lovely, but is really wasn't a great visit. Two lovely young girls serving, but the food was a disaster, my avocado on toast was okay, nothing wrong with it, but it was served in way not had before. , although looked a bit weird. My mrs had porridge which was a mess it was swimming in milk, my avocado came 10 minutes before the porridge because the young girl said they was having a disaster making it., not sure how you messed porridge up, but they did, coffee was lovely. I would imagine to go for a coffee and a slice of cake it would be fine. Just don't let them cook anything for you. 100% would never go back here.

The Cutting Garden Café is a charming place to relax and enjoy great food and drinks. Their coffee is excellent, and the cakes are simply amazing – fresh, rich in flavour, and beautifully presented. The staff are warm, welcoming, and ready with a smile, adding to the café’s friendly atmosphere. It’s also very convenient, with a bike stand right outside for cyclists, plenty of parking for those driving, and the choice of cosy indoor seating or a peaceful outdoor area surrounded by greenery. A perfect spot for a casual stop, meeting friends, or taking a break on a day out.
