We came to the Donnington Arms as it's near my daughter's house. She has used this place a few times previously and has always left happy. Great staff, very accommodating... They have a lot of sweets and treats for children... Dog friendly very popular with the local villagers They offer a huge selection of menu items (photos) and the portion sizes are great.. you really feel like you've had a good meal. Food was excellent, very fresh and tasty We spent £65 total Inc drinks for 4 people so around £15 a head so fairly priced for the area We were really pleased all round yesterday and we will definitely be going back regularly. even though it's 28 miles from home it's worth the travel on special occasions I missed the specials menu on the wall yesterday until after I'd ordered but they had a few good offers on it and the kebab & naan bread on the next table looked huge and great value for money. Can't wait to go back... 😋😋😋

What a brilliant surprise? Called in randomly whilst taking a relative out for the day and found this cosy little pub with car park and great beer garden for children. We decided to have the carvery with a choice of three meats and/or pie plus self-service all you could eat vegetables and potatos which were all cooked to perfection. Combine this with the fantastic service from the lad serving the carvery, Evie, Heidi and Grace made this a pub we will deffo return to! 👏👏

Pie night was good Hubby chose fish n chips. Waitress was new ( thats fine) but she didnt have back up. After we had ordered nobody came back to us for desserts or extra drinks. It was a rare last minute night out for us so wanted to be waited on. We will try again

Go in most days, All the staff are absolutely amazing! The pub is so welcoming! It has a bouncy castle and a play area for families to enjoy!! Different stuff on different nights

Monday Night is bingo night, all the staff (Liv, Freya, Nathan and Graham the chef) all work very hard and make you feel very welcoming!

Tuesday night is quiz night which gets busy and full of questions to get your brain working! Marlee’s pizzas are really nice aswell!

Wednesday night is pie night also with a load of specials and I’ve just had one (Toad in the hole with Lincolnshire sausages and roast potato’s with thick gravy) and that was fantastic again staff fantastic!

Thursday night is burger night even though I’ve not had one they all look amazing!!

Friday night is steak night and the steaks are amazing!!

Saturday is another busy night where’s all the staff (Liv, Ellie and Lily) all work really hard to make sure everything is right for the customers

Sunday is carvery day and when I say it’s one of the best carvery’s I’ve had and that’s a credit to Marie and all Bar/floor staff work really hard (Liv, Freya Bella and grace) and of course pot wash (Brandon - Not Me) works really hard and makes sure every item is clean!!

Would highly...

A Hidden Gem for Families – The Donnington Arms is a Must-Visit! We had a fantastic experience at The Donnington Arms and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and family-friendly — exactly what we were looking for. The carvery was absolutely spot-on: generous portions, perfectly cooked meats, and a great selection of fresh vegetables and all the trimmings. Everything was hot, tasty, and served with a smile. You can tell the kitchen really takes pride in doing things right. What really sets this pub apart is how family-oriented it is. The bouncy castle and children’s play area were a massive hit with the kids, giving them a chance to burn off energy while we enjoyed a relaxed meal and a drink in the garden. It's rare to find a place that caters so well to both adults and children. Whether you're stopping by for a hearty Sunday roast or looking for somewhere to unwind with the whole family, The Donnington Arms delivers on all fronts. Friendly staff, great food, and a lovely space for kids — we’ll definitely be...

Was really looking forward to trying this place, and we're glad we did but there were a few small issues that marred the visit. It was our first time visiting, and although the staff are lovely, when we walked in we didn't have a clue where to go. We were pointed to the garden where "there should be a table" and informed table service would be provided. No problems there, we took the last table. The garden had a lovely atmosphere, and after a couple of minutes we were attended to, and on asking what ales were available was informed that they had Staropramen, Guinness or Carling...maybe get the staff to understand the products they are selling, it'll give the staff and customers confidance. An alternative solution would to provide either disposable drinks menus or ones you can sanitise for reuse? Only other problem was that the way out wasn't well sign posted or the one way system that was in place. A promising start, just needs a...
