When I went to pay I was asked for £14.95 I questioned the price, as I only ordered one burger and chips, not two, but I was told £14.95 was the correct price. I could not believe they would even attempt to charge that, I can get the same thing, with a nicer burger, more chips, and a decent fresh side salad at my local cafe for £5.95

Price was really very greedy, ridiculous in fact, and a complete ripoff.

To follow up on owners response---

I did not claim you ever did charge £5.95 for a burger and chips. What I said was I could get better quality and a larger portion at a number of my local area cafes for £5.95, I`m not talking about some greasy spoon either.

Had it been a few pounds difference, fair enough, but your price is outrageous. Lesson learnt, check prices on menu before ordering.

Had I done so, I would not have ordered anything from your business. I am just glad I didn`t order a drink as well, I shudder to think what the bill would have been.

The fact that you made zero attempt to justify your price speaks volumes. Perhaps you are going for customers with more money than sense, if that`s the case good luck to you.

If people are stupid enough to pay such prices for what is just a bog standard cafe in a nice location, more fool them.

So we had pre booked a table as it was my father's birthday, not only had they given away our table but they stuck us right next to the door and staff members kept slamming it behind them when they were walking in and out, at one point they just left it wide open (keep in mind it was raining yesterday) the staff seemed nice enough but didn't really seem to care to be honest. I got the chicken goujons and my dad and sister got the burger. The burger was dry and the chicken goujons had to be sawed through so either they were bad goujons or they were reheated. Me and my sister asked for a garlic dip and for some reason she was given a tiny amount and I was given the larger one so we ended up just sharing mine. For 3 meals that none of us even finished it cost £59 which I didn't even want to pay but I'm also not rude and knows what it's like to have my own business so i just paid and left. I definitely won't be back here, from the giving away of our table and the bad food, i couldn't imagine any reason as to why i would come back. it's a shame because I had heard good things about this place. I have been debating contacting the Facebook page about this experience but honestly not sure if it would...

Very disappointing lunch. Ordered tuna & onion panini, cheese, tomato & onion panini, both served with skinny fries & side salad. Tuna one was rock hard, separated it to eat as an open sandwich instead to discover hardly any filling. My friend bit into hers to discover it was in fact ham & cheese!? Both chip servings were cold, the salad consisted of a few leaves of lettuce & a single solitary slice of yellow pepper. No dressing, no tomatoes, nothing. Plates were collected as we were sat outside due to covid restrictions. Waitress didn't even ask if meal was OK, despite both plates containing a lot of uneaten food. When we went to pay I did highlight this when asked was everything OK, as I would rather make them aware. Different waitress, who I have to say did deal with it very professionally. She did also take it off our bill & only charged for our coffees. Unfortunately not the first time we've been disappointed. Will give it one more try as used to really enjoy a weekend lunch or...
