Keegan's Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

I thought the low prices were too good to be true and sadly I was right. If you really can't face cooking and you're on a tight budget, this might be for you. The staff were so sweet, and rushing about madly, but I think they needed more help. The food was so basic - I don't think I've ever been served marrowfat peas in anything other than a soup or mushy peas, and the cubed root veggies felt bland, not even tossed in a little butter. The gravy wasn't nice (and I love gravy). The place we were sitting had a big screen showing a game, and there were many children running about. It felt as though we had been sat in a noisy annex, with no charm, no decor, and no soul. There is one redemptive feature, dvd that's the orange cake I received for dessert - absolutely stunning! Served with a warm dark chocolate sauce, it was gloriously flavourful. So I might go back, if I'm in the area and there's a more atmospheric area in which to sit to have a cup of coffee and some...

Amazing food, fresh cocktails, fantastic atmosphere and exceptional service. You could go elsewhere in town, pay three times the price you'd pay in Keegan's and it wouldn't be anywhere near as good. Keegan's is an Armagh staple because it's all of the above and incredibly reasonably priced. It's no exaggeration to say it blows absolutely everywhere else in town (and very likely further afield, too) out of the water. I, for one, can't rate this place highly enough.

It's one of the few places in town to reinvest back into the bar, Bernie's snug is a wonderful addition. While everyone else was crying into their coco pops about how awful covid was for the hospitality industry, Laura, Donna and Co got to work to make the bar the absolute best version of what it could be. Kudos to the Keegan family and long may their success continue, it can't be easy keeping such high standards and such...

Went on Easter Sunday, it was busy and table wasn't ready. However staff were very nice and put us at a waiting table until our table was ready and staff continued to make sure we were ok whilst waiting.

Once we got our table it was great. I found the food to be excellent, I really enjoyed my duck roll starter and the steak was done exactly how I like it, it was so tasty. I could eat another one today.

Here is the best part, Keegans Charge very fairly. I definitely will drive back just for the steak lol even though it 20miles away.

Finally a place who don't rip you off and provide great service and good food.
