My mother in laws review below speaks for itself. After such a hard day on the family with the funeral of their sister, to then be blamed and have this on their grieving conscience from a heartless manager was truly a disgrace. I hope this becomes a lesson and turning point for the establishment. A deep reflection is needed for empathy and compassion from whoever was in charge.
Her review: "Feeling completely let down and disappointed . We organised food to be served after our sisters funeral today at The Cosh Bar & Grill. Food to be served at 2pm all organised. I messaged back we might be a early as itâs a cold day but that sounds good. We arrived in good time and waited. We had the members from Stage Beyond Theatre Company who were so important to the day, and we had told their families they would be having lunch with us, we had parents, who needed to pickup kids from school . We asked and inquired as to when the food would be served. Five minutes they said. Food never arrived. It ended up with the manager pointing the finger at the kitchen staff. And blaming us for a last minute booking ( it was funeral) and we contacted them on Monday we were reminded it was very last minute. I have never encountered a more unprofessional setup in my life . The manager pointed the blame at the kitchen staff , in all my years In catering, the buck stops with the manager. We were blamed, accused and embarrassed. Itâs up to the manager to sort it out. We didnât need blame ,we needed service. We booked with the options they gave us. So go and sort out your management. Do not let the customer have to try and sort things out after burying their...
Read moreA great spot for good food and nice setting. Nice selection of food (big portions!) and friendly staff.
I should note that on an occasion I visited the premises, some selfish and inconsiderate people parked across and on the disabled parking, who were not disabled badge holders. This meant that a poor gentleman with great walking difficulties took a long and dangerous walk across the car park as the only free space was at the far end, something an able bodied person would crossed in 20 seconds, took this gentleman a few minutes and a lot of effort and support from others. I can only guess the didnât want to let anyone down on this planned day out. It it was a big effort on his behalf. While this is not any take away on the restaurant, it would be good if something could be done to deter these selfish people who care more about a potential scratch on their car than the safety of other human beings, from using the spaces, or even the...
Read moreNever felt so unwelcome in a place before. Been on a date with someone so we decided to go here for dinner on way home. Second I walked in we stood for 10 minutes and eventually someone came over and didnât even say anything she just shoved two menus and said âthis wayâ and left us. When I asked a different waitres to take our order she replied with a âwhat do you wantâ when I finished saying what I wanted I was told you forgot your side to which I replied I donât want kne. She looked at me and said well itâs free so you may as well. I said I know but the portions are big here so Iâll just have a main. She then walked off with no words. Food came and was okay. I didnât even feel like staying long so after we ate we paid and left. Both waitresses just stared at us as if we were on show the whole time. I see though we are both guys but there is no need to draw a crowd. I...
