There are no public toilets at the Dark Hedges and Coach Tour Operators uses this stop for lunch, so we were there for 1.5 hrs. The PANTRY is one of the only 2 places that offer refreshment in this area and toilet. The Pantry only allows paying customers to use their toilet facilities despite the fact that they know that there are no other public toilets for tourists to use. My friends and I who were in a coach tour were desperate for a wee. We knew we had to buy in order to use the toilets as there are signs everywhere but the queue for the food order was long so we decided to queue for the toilet first and then purchase later since we really needed to wee. But the staff at the PANTRY then told us off and said we need to buy first. We explained that we really need to use the toilet and can we buy after but with her raised voice she said no. She said we have to buy first before we can use the toilet. It was very embarassing. Nobody should have to beg to use the toilet like that. So I got one of their fridge magnet COSTING £7.95 for 1 piece (highly overpriced) and paid for it just so I dont have to join the long queue for the food before I can use the toilet. Very disappointed with how they deal with people regardless of whether we are a paying customer or not. We are human beings and as such we should show kindness and understanding to one another. The PANTRY is the only place during our full day tour that treated us that way. We made so many stops during that tour and had no problems using the toilets. So very disappointing. I cannot comment on the food as we decided not to purchase any food after that very bad experience. We were willing to wait for our next stop...

the workers seem really unusual, i didn’t actually manage to order a drink because the coffee prices aren’t listed on the overhead board. there also was no fully formed queue just a crowd, so i went up to the girl at the till and asked how how much a coffee was. like i assumed maybe they all just had a base price because prices weren’t listed anywhere. the weird part was that she wouldn’t tell me? idk she kind of just like giggled it was just weird. and this other waitress was being really rude and hissed at me like aggressively to move MORE out the way when i moved out her way to bring plates out, and that happened twice over a bit a minute of me just trying to explain to the girl i wanted to know how much a chai latte was. she said at one point ‘yeah i work here’ to snap at me and i said ‘i see that yeah’ and then that made her like really blow and she half shouted something but my brain didn’t process what it was because i just wanted a latte. i asked if the rude waitress was ok if she was emotional or if something had just happened because i noticed she was just snapping at everyone and she just laughed again so idk. just a weird place and im on a long coach journey so felt bored enough to write about it😛 but yeah other reviews mention the waitress shes got dark hair otherwise pretty nondescript but just look out for that one...

Worst service ever experienced. We ordered a coffe and a cake, I politely asked if we could sit inside for a bit, they said yes, probably the female manager, then our bill jumped of 3/4 pounds.. fine, we thought they added the service charge. We took a sit and waited for about 20 minutes, still no coffe. I then went to ask if she could make it to take away as we had to leave. The member of staff made the coffee and left it there on the counter. She kept looking at me from far away without saying anything or bringing it over, since I paid about 4 pounds, you should bring it at the very least. She didn't, I then stood up and went there after a few minutes and she said: your coffee is there. At this point the coffee was cold and we still had to go, so I just told them how bad was that and they just couldn't care less. I should have done as everyone else: take the coffee as T/A and sit anyway, since they didn't seem to bother by it anyway and all the tables were covered by...

This cafe is located few mins walk behind The Hedge hotel. Budget friendly option to halt during belfast bus tours to dark edges. Recommend to freshen up first and then proceed towards the dark hedges trail. Well maintained washrooms. Nice for non veg sandwiches and power up snack options. More options for pasteries , coffee etc Good seating area for solo to group travellers. Table service is done after ordering On the counter. This place has few gift items on available which are priced at higher range. Can opt to buy anyways as didnt find any other market to get the souvenirs.

The tour bus driver recommened to go to the other restaurant, but there were 2 other busses full of people, so my friends and I went to this nice and cozy cafe closer to the Dark Hedges. They offer sandwiches, paninis and cake. Since there is no other option to eat (besides the other restaurant), the prices are a tad expensive, but the BBQ chicken panini was quite nice. I ended up paying roughly 13 GBP for the panini and the cappuccino. It can be a good option, in case you didn't pack any lunch for the day trip. They also offer some souvenirs of the Dark Hedges.

This is a small and cosy cafe very near to the Dark Hedges. We went to visit the Dark Hedges but the rain came suddenly so we decided to just stop by this cafe til the rain stops. The coffees and other drinks are good. We tried the brownie and pastries, they were alright. Overall worth to drop by if you would like a hot drink.
