Mega mixed grill. £18.50 totally stuffed tasty. You can't order and pay online like menus saying scan this qr code which takes you to a page saying no online ordering services are available. So it's the old fashion way go to the bar order and pay. Didn't have to wait too long for the food. Enjoyed it. All the Gammon steak is about £9.95 reasonable good value and quality. Plenty of parking. Dogs are allowed into the pub only one section they not allowed in and its clearly marked. However In the no dogs section someone had a great dane in there. Makes no sense. But anyway. There are a few booths dotted about with tvs in. Massive telly you can see from space ON THE Ceiling. I would come back.

Had breaded mushrooms starter, these were lovely even if a little over done, had the sirloin steak, medium to well, this was cooked to perfection, only disappointment was the chips, lukewarm at best, obviously been sat a while. staff nice and friendly that brought my drinks and food over, the girl has served me before and she always has a pleasant demeanour atmosphere of pub was nice, considering i was a lone female, didn’t get too many looks 🤣
AHAH
“ the heart of the community “ the crows nest is busy pretty much every night. I believe the only reason is because of the atmosphere. I’m neither a Villa fan or a Liverpool fan but the atmosphere last night whilst those games were on was something special. The lights were off and the sound was up it reminded me of the euros. Everyone was cheering for their team and when they scored the roof lifted, such a positive and enjoyable atmosphere.

Me and my partner visited the Crows Nest Nuneaton and both ordered a starter and a burger meal for main, with both a vodka and coke and a pint of Pepsi Max our total came to around £45 which is pretty reasonable for a two course meal.

The outside is misleading, and has seemingly had some work done to it but the inside is dated and mismatched. Upon entry, we noticed a lack of host stand and so self sat ourselves despite having a booking. I alerted the bar staff off our booking when placing our food order but he seemed unbothered. My main issue with this establishment was the customer service, neither the waitress who brought us our food or the bar staff seemed at all friendly or chatty and it was hard to brush off the feeling of being unwanted in their pub, especially amongst the other patrons drinking and eating at the same time as us.

Our starters and mains were bought out at the same time, despite making it clear to the bar tender that i did in fact want the starters as starters, the food quality was good and did come quickly and hot. The burgers were both good, a little generic but for the price they were tasty and the chips were good. We were both a little perplexed as it seemed to us that our food was served in ceramic dog bowls but was good nonetheless.

Sauces and cutlery are self serve and there are a good selection of sauces on offer but no additional sauces were offered to us and no check back was provided by staff after we received our food. Whilst I understand the ‘bar service’ as previously mentioned in other replies to reviews, I did go back up to the bar to collect waters and was not asked about my food then either.

Overall, it seems like a good pub if you’re a regular or known but not the kind of place to go for a one off...

We've always visited here and enjoyed the meals and service. BUT yesterday's visit was DIABOLICAL it took 20 MINUTES to get served with our first drink. Then when I went to order a meal I had to wait another 15 minutes to get served. By this time it was about 6.45 - 7.00. Eventually we had to ask how much longer our meal would be. By this time we decided to move inside. No tables cleared! Our meal arrived at 8.15 and to say MEAL! well I've had Hunters chicken numeras times and it certainly wasn't anything like it. I even questioned where the cheese was and was told it was on the bacon but may have dried up,!! My husbands steak was produced with no sauce. I asked if we could have some gravy the waitress never even returned. Not even to offer whether we might like any sauces etc. The chips were dry. The whole meal was dire!!!!! I intended to complain. But although it was a lot later there were still customers three deep at the bar. To say the bar tenders( 2 of them) had no idea how to pour drinks and no speed it was a dismal visit. To say we won't be going again is an understatement which is a shame because it has such potential if was managed by people who knew what they were doing. My advice to everyone....

Other than a technical glitch with the booking service and a table not being allocated before we arrived, it was very good. We had to wait to be served at the bar, they were busy serving others so this was fine, once we were approached a table was sorted quickly, we were advised of a waiting time for food, this was fairly accurate and we didn't mind at all because the food came out and was hot and seemed freshly cooked. Sometimes at other places we've visited you can tell the food has been sitting on the side under heat lamps to keep it warm. This didn't seem to be the case, especially as I had to wait a few extra minutes for my meal to come out and once I received it you could tell it was just plated up. The fries were red hot from just coming out of the fryer! Everyone enjoyed their food and couldn't fault anything. We have been frequent customers of the chase pub in Nuneaton, and we all agreed the food was much better at the crows nest. Slightly dearer but the meals we had, 3 cowboy burgers, 1 chicken burger and 1 spicy burger were all very good. We even had a few desserts after! We will be back again to try other meals from...
