Today ( February 3rd 2023), having enjoyed a number of breakfasts here, we tried lunch. Word has obviously got round as to how good the place is: it was busy but we found a table for four and sat back expecting a long wait. Within minutes, the drinks were brought to our table and the meal itself arrived shortly after.
Each meal was simple but tasty and well presented. The bacon and ham were particularly good. We left, having had lunch and a drink for under £10 a head.
We enjoyed an excellent breakfast and excellent prices to boot. I really can't fault the staff here. They are wonderful.
Whilst there we visited the shop. I omit the word 'farm' as this usually entails a hefty price increase but everything here was very well priced (in line with supermarket prices and sometimes less) and there was a huge range of things on offer, not the usual farm shop toot but stuff you really might want to buy. When we walked in there was about 4 young girls that appeared to work there all stood behind the counter talking quite loudly, we did not get greeted. We sat down at a table then realised we needed menus. Not once did any of the staff come over and help, they all carried on talking. We was impressed with the aesthetics and vibe of the cafe, it was lovely. I have a gluten allergy and was pleased to see that they had gluten free bread which meant I could have a variety of options. I ordered an egg and tomato sandwich, which was ok. Did only have one egg though. Just felt like this place could be a little better as we only spent about 45 mintues here. Read moreWhat a great place to pop in to...the café is such a nice place and the staff are more than accommodating, friendly service too.
Having two floors to choose, so seating is no problem, there is a range of food and they also welcome pets! Located at the entrance of the farm as you drive in...there is also a farm shop and other activities too.
The farm shop has a range of fresh grown produce, plucked on the morning you see it. There is a wide range of other local items just for you picking. And the prices are low to!
There is a small gift / florist gift shop also.
Pet groomers and if you need it, a physio with disabled parking.
There is also the farm dog..very friendly and if she see you she is also welcoming you to the location.
Well worth a visit...remember to wear your boots !!!...
