Currently our favourite takeaway in the village and for many reasons.... The staff are really friendly, the service is quick & professional and the FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!! We definitely recommend the Mixed Gyros Platter for £15 with a choice of 2 from Chicken, Kofta + Halloumi, complete with salad, tzaziki, fries and pita..... The portion is so big that im yet to finish this in one sitting 😂 Definitely give Apollo's a try.... you won't be disappointed 😊

Visited on a surprisingly busy Wednesday night. Food - excellent, I even forced a desert down Service - absolutely on the ball all night Atmosphere - warm and vibrant We're going to go back and work our way through the rest of the menu now, and drink plenty of Mythos while we're at it 👍

Wonderful local Restaurant, great food and great atmosphere, they do authentic Greek nights which are brilliant, possibly best to book most nights to get a table. Also great service from all the staff and I wish they had arrived earlier it’s just what the village needed Five star from me.

Both family and friends got together for a joint birthday celebration. I'd like to review in two parts. Positive and negative. Everyone enjoyed their food, in most parts it was delicious, sadly apart from my food, the flavours were fantastic but the chicken was exceptionally dry, like it had been kept warm for some time. I had the garlic lemon chicken. The waiting staff were great especially a young Italian girl who was both charming and patient!

The problems started as soon as we arrived, the music was incredibly loud, to the point that it was hard to converse. I asked the waitress if it could be turned down as three of our party wore hearing aids and that level of sound would cause them to distort. They did turn it down for a while but it was turned back up later. Starters were expensive £12.00 for a smallish portion of whitebait or calamari.

I booked a table for 15 on the telephone, the woman who dealt with my call said they would require a deposit of 150.00, I felt this was reasonable as a no show of this amount of people would have an impact on the business, I transferred the money immediately, a few days later rang to say hadn't received acknowledgement of this or a receipt. I was assured that it had been received. The problems started when the bill arrived which caused considerable confusion as they had refused to bill us separately, some of us were drinking and some weren't. One of the waiters suggested that i should have my deposit repaid and that we could woek it out from there, I a\greed to this. The next thing was the floor manager appeared and refused to repay the full deposit because it was there policy that £10.00 would be deducted for anyone who didn't turn up. At no stage had I been told about this policy and felt it was also exceptionally mean, the floor manager was borderline aggressive and very insistent that it was their policy. i felt very aggrieved by this. Finally , in a nut shell the food was very good, waiting staff were great, food and wine quite expensive. The music was way to loud it's a restaurant not a club. They need a new floor manager, zero for attitude, zero for...

I am genuinely shocked and disappointed with the way we were treated at Apollos. Tonight (30th August) I had a confirmed booking made online for 9pm. We travelled from North Manchester especially for this meal, planned our evening around it, and arrived on time — only to be told that no table was available.

Mistakes can happen, but the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. The lady in the kitchen was extremely rude and dismissive when we raised the issue. Rather than dealing with us herself, she left it to a young girl on reception to manage the situation. To her credit, the receptionist did her best to help, but it was obvious she had been put in an awkward position and looked upset by how things had been left to her.

What made this even worse was the lack of any apology or effort to resolve the issue. We were simply left standing there, feeling unwelcome and completely disregarded as customers. After travelling and planning our evening around this booking, the whole experience was incredibly frustrating.

The booking system clearly doesn’t work properly, and the lack of professionalism from senior staff only made matters worse. For a restaurant that promotes itself as a place of quality dining and hospitality, this was the exact opposite.

Until serious improvements are made to both the online booking system and the way customers are treated when problems arise, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking here. There are many other restaurants in the area that value their customers, honour reservations, and treat both staff and guests with respect — sadly, Apollos did not on...

A table of 6. Waited on is an understatement. The food was good but was informed a set menu ie if you didn't like mash they would not replace with chips you had to order as a side order (more unnecessary expense). Waited 30mins just to get drinks!!!. Over an hour for our meal !!!! Having to leave our table and ask how long before our meal arrived. When challenged stated they had a back log.....???? The front of house was a very rude individual saying to a member of our group that she did not like his attitude!!! What the hell..... to top it all a deposit was paid when reserving the table £10 pp as requested.....yet when the bill arrived the £60 had not been taken off the full amount, be aware. Upon leaving the car park the said individual was ouside with another having a cigarette, whilst customers sat waiting for their meals ???. NO apology NO offer of any compensation or anything.Appalling service and would NEVER recommend sorry. !!!!What a disgusting response to our review...just says it all about apollos. We had no issues with the staff at all and at no time did we raise our voices in front of any diners. NO good throwing lies about.....your service was extremely poor and you should be ashamed of yourself. You did not accommodate in our orders, just told us set menu and HAD to order sides which we did. The review system is there for a reason to help small businesses like yourself to learn by mistakes and take the next steps to improve your business. Obviously by your response you don't take kindly to negative...
