Had a lovely meal at The north star, I was impressed with the portion size, deffo worth the slightly higher price tag then I would normally spend. Will definitely be going again , customer service was top notch and very welcoming atmosphere. Lilly and Kelsey really stood out

Came here as a very big group a while ago and it was alright. Staff are friendly and food was okay too, but prices are quite high for what it is. The pub is rather small and in a quiet area. But it has a lovely bit where you can sit outside

Tried the new outside menu. Salt and pepper chicken sandwich was amazing on a big ciabatta roll. Really tasty. Mozzarella sticks with sweet chilli jam were a winner too. Faultless 5*

Boxing day meal. Ruined by the landlords attitude, offensive language in front of young children, who later told me they felt intimidated and scared by his raised voice and the way he spoke to a female member of the family group. Our food was lovely and served by a pleasant and conciensous young girl who made us feel really welcome and at ease. The problem started when complaints were made about meals which were reported to be inedible. I understand the pressures of running a public House, and catering for your customers needs, but this should be undertaken sensitively and amicably. Raising your voice in such a way as to totally disregard and intimidate a female isn't acceptable in my view. You took no consideration of what and how you said what you did and how this impacted on the group, especially the children. This is really disappointing to see from a grown man who could really do with some education in manners. The icing on the cake was your offensive language in front our children. Unforgivable. I certainly won't be ever returning and recommend the many other public houses in the area where your children feel safe and at ease. Some training might be...

This pub has always had a welcome feel to it nice & cosy.Staff are great & pleasant.I always came here & always had a lovely meal. This is my 2nd time now since the new Land lord & Landlady have taken over But i am sorry to say the 1st time my Party & myself had Rump steak for which it was grizzly & very had to chew very stringy. We dod complain regarding this as it was the worse steak we had have. This 2nd time we thought we would try again.Well my friends was fine but mine was hard to chew & little grizzley the Veg was lovely but it was a shame about the Rump steak but it was a little better than the 1st time. Please put a fillet or a sirloin steak on.I have had The Rump steak in the past & it has been lovely "But sorry these last couple of times it has not been good "Sorry" But overall this pub is a great pub to go to .I have just been unlucky with my steak.please put some different deserts on the menue as they were a bit boring & a little sickly sorry. All the Staff are great.&...

Just want to say I was disappointed with my visit today here, me and my husband went he had gammon, pineapple chips and peas. His gammon had more fat than meat! Yes I did complain to Holly the server, who kindly went and told the chef...to be told that's how it came in!!! And still paid full price? Why did the chef not come out and tell us!! That's bad...also ordered half a pint of Guinness, to get a pint of Guinness brought to me! I did tell them and left half of it. When the bill came I was charged for a pint of Guinness? Not acceptable!!! Holly was fantastic no issues at all she couldn't apologise enough XX but as for the Chef Im absolutely appalled as we where the only ones in there... Would we...
