DREADFUL! decided to go for some breakfast with my mum as lock down restrictions have been relaxed. We were sat not far from the kitchen and what i saw was disgraceful. My mum ordered a small English breakfast and i ordered a large English breakfast. As the kitchen door was open i looked to see if my breakfast was coming, when i saw one of the chefs grab an egg off a hot plate with his bare hands, no gloves or nothing, he did this multiple times. when my breakfast came out i said to the waitress should the chef be picking fried eggs up with his bare hands? to which she responded "they use hand sanitiser in between" which as a customer tells me they see this as a normal way of plating food, might have to buy them a spatula or some tongues. This put me off my eggs so i decided to leave them and eat everything else, all the other items were cold and the hash browns tasted of pure oil. wont be visiting here again as i dont like my food being grabbed by peoples bare hands. Also with the current covid 19 pandemic shouldn't they be taking extra precautions when...

One of the bouncers was very rude to me and my sister , i was spoken to like dirt as soon as i walked in i had done nothing wrong and a bit later on we was sworn at because we was holding a door open, we never argued or said anything back to him. we told a manger she had a word with him she was very lovely and was very apologetic but as i was telling the manger i saw him cover his mouth and tried whispering to the other bouncer , the other one was lovely, he was looking over the entire time , our mum mentioned something to him as we were leaving he continued to argue with her with a smug look on his face as if nothing had happened. as two young girls trying to enjoy our night we felt quite uncomfortable and was very undeserving of what we received it was highly unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour. just for people in the future he was young looking, tall , slim and dark haired with a beard, anyone has any issues with this bouncer in the future i would recommend telling a manger as this behaviour is highly...

I ordered the Mediterranean salad at £8.35, and some sliced chicken. The salad was really, really tiny and certainly not good value for money. When I looked at the menu to see what should the salad contain, and straight away I noticed there was no cheery tomatoes and the tiniest square of butternut squash. I took it back to the bar and explained to the ( who I presumed was team leader) what was wrong. She argued that she could quite clearly see most of the ingredients. So I asked can you see tomato there? The little madam sarcastically said well I get you some tomatoes then shall I?. Really? Is that the way to speak to regular customers who come in week after week? I didn't even bother telling her that my husband's food was stone cold too. Snotty little madam with a bad attitude. I hope I never have to speak...

Update 27/2/25 Another rammed full of customers night at the Shay enjoyed a few drinks before moving on to Now we all know Weatherspoons are just an ok pub when it comes to food but the one in shaw is top notch. Staff great after visiting the one in Rochdale and Oldham which was like the movie dawn of the dead ! Awful places full of the absolute dregs of society. Shaw actually has families and nice people eating and drinking

I wanted my eggs poached not hard boiled. No wonder it took you over half a hour to do my breakfast! Whilst I appreciate it was busy when i was in, pretty much everyone was already eating. The staff had to be asked twice where the food was, it came out lukewarm (its been sat somewhere for some time then) and your staff were rude when asked for the 2nd time over half a hour after ordering!

We came here today after a top of the table football match for our under 13's team, approx 30 people rocking up at 11:30am wanting breakfast, the staff were fantastic at accommodating us! All the orders were spot on, food was lovely, the price even better, and the staff were best of all! Honestly really that good!
