This is the go to place in the village. The food is good with new items just added for lunch, e.g. soup and sandwich or jacket potatoes. The staff are always friendly too. Would highly recommend a visit.

visited on Thursday and was extremely disappointed with the breakfast quality. The bacon was inedible, resembling shoe leather, which made me question why they don't cook it fresh upon request. It's surprising that a simple task like cooking bacon properly seems to be overlooked. Additionally, they ran out of bacon by 11:30 AM, which is unacceptable for a breakfast service. It only takes a few minutes to cook more, yet it seemed like they couldn't be bothered. The sausage was overcooked, the butter was hard, and the beans were cold. Moreover, the establishment is hardly ever open, which adds to my frustration. I hope they can improve their food quality and service, as I believe it could be a great spot with some...

Really wanted to love this place but in the end it was only OK. Friendly service but the food was only alright. Had a jacket potato with curry. Served a few microwaved little potatoes with a slightly odd curry sauce. (Broccoli and sweetcorn anyone?) The cream served with the scones wasn't clotted cream and the jam was very cheap stuff from a plastic pot. Some of the crockery wasn't very clean and the table had the previous person's crumbs and a few bits of rice left over. It also wasn't very warm! I understand this place is run by volunteers and only a few simple changes...

This is the best little place that our village had in a long time. The food is great ,Michelle and her team and all the volunteers that help run the Toll Bar are all amazing. It's a great meeting place for all ages whether you are just strolling through the village or walking your dog everyone is welcomed here. Thank you Parish council and lottery funding for this great place...
