The Indus Restaurant — Restaurant in Reigate and Banstead

1st visit to this lovely Indian restaurant. The food was amazing. For starters, we had garlic mushrooms and vegetable samosa. For the main, I had the garlic lamb curry, and my partner had a vegetable curry and rice. Both were very tasty. The staff we very friendly but sadly the restaurant is closing on 19th May, they will still be offering takeaway and a delivery service but if you can support a local restaurant YOU MUST try this one. First visit here... staff were friendly and attentive and no long waits for food or drinks. Initially, upon tasting the food, it seemed somewhat bland, and I don't mean not spicy 'heat-wise', just that both meat dishes tasted very similar even though they should have been quite different... However, as the meal progressed the flavours of the shatkora became more evident. The 'tikka' flavour of the korai wasn't very obvious though. We'll definitely go again and try some other dishes to get a variety of flavours. The accompaniments...

The worst but most expensive curry I've had, paid £57 for takeaway that was just 5 dishes no rice, no nan bread or starters.... 1st off they advertise 10% off for collection but when we got there to collect he said no its 10% off the takeaway menu prices..!!! False advertising!!!! We were expecting good things from the reviews and prices....but oh no..... The chicken was dry and so chewy and in the one curry we paid extra for tikka chicken there was hardly any chicken and the pieces were tiny.... Avoid this place.....save your...
