āI went here for a family tea out and couldnāt be more disappointed! I got Cajun burger with chips, coke and a hot chocolate cake with ice cream. The burger bun tasted stale, the chicken was extremely dry and tasteless, even when I added the sauce it came with it was disgusting! The coke took 20 minutes to come when the rest of our table had Prosecco and the āhotā chocolate cake was barely warm. Would never visit here again.ā I wrote this review on Trip Advisor and the āManagerā who responded reported my message and lied in the comments saying I did not get any Prosecco or coke and said that MY SON spilled his orange juice and they offered me a free one. We were in a group of four women who in fact DID get Prosecco and a coke! Plus I do not have any children!! He said he checked the CCTV when I didnāt even say what day or time I visited which obviously is a complete lie. Then the manager continued to say that I am hiding behind a screen complaining when in fact I complained A LOT in the restaurant so they had to knock my disgusting food off the bill!!!! Absolutely fuming do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stumbled across this pub and it's really nice. It is probably part of a charm, byt what makes it great is that the staff were all fantastically friendly and we had managed to get a great deal through Groupon. Accordingly we made sure to have a few bottles of wine so that the pub made some money out of us, and the wine list suited our requirements! It has a decent range of good pub meal on offer, and by looks of things changes the menu fairly regularly , with decent looking offers and specials changing regularly (we saw two different offers, both which looked delicious) and the deal we had taken with Groupon was excellent. Without a doubt though the best thing about this pub/hotel is the staff, who were exceptional throughout our stay - super friendly and accommodating! It's a bit off the beaten track but nevertheless we will find a reason to return; a couple of good things in the area I would suggest are the roman museum at Ribchester, and a day at Clitheroe, both of which The Fielden's Arms make an...
Read moreWe called in on the off chance enroute to somewhere. We hadn't reserved but we were accommodated and seated straight away as they weren't overly busy. We ordered a variety of things including fish and chips and burgers. They have a two courses for £10 menu which can be a starter and main or a starter and and a pud. I had the burger and the apple pie and ice cream. For £10 it was the best meal I had eaten in ages. It was a proper burger and proper home made chips and onion rings. The apple pie and ice cream was fantastic and I'd have quite happily paid double. Well done to the...
