Pavilion Coffee House — Restaurant in Ribble Valley

This is the second time I’ve been in and to say the customer service was not good is an understatement. They don’t seam to want to be courteous at all The first time they were busy and after a long wait I asked about my food I was snapped at saying they were busy ! The second time I only wanted an ice cream for kids but I had my dog, I asked if it would be ok and the lady said yes, then when I was at the counter another lady was very curt saying I’m not allowed in with dog, even though he was in my arms and he only weighs 2 kg.! I tried to say that I had already asked if it was ok and was told yes , but she wasn’t having any of and she was rather rude and then gave me a complete dirty look, atmosphere was terrible 😢 I felt terrible and wish I hadn’t bothered at all, I didn’t even eat my ice cream as I was too upset 😢 Be a long time before I go again shame as the food ...

The service is appalling, we waited 15 minutes and eventually summoned a member of staff to take our order. It was not busy it was around 3.00 pm and wanted a coffee and cake. This has happened to us on several occasions and we have had enough of being ignored and will not be going back. There seems to be no management of the staff, they think cleaning tables is a priority and once they have sat you down they simply ignore you. They couldn't be more disinterested, no welcoming smile, no attention whatsoever, well I am going to vote with my feet and go elsewhere. When paying by card they have the audacity to ask if you want to leave a tip for the service! What service! Over the past few months we have seen plenty of people in the same position and they have walked out - something we almost did today and the last time if I am honest. Best not...

This is the second time we have been here for food and it really doesn't disappoint. On this visit we had the afternoon tea and wow was it so good and such good value for money. The sandwiches were first class and the side of soup sald and chunky fries was excellent, then the cakes! Omg they were delicious! Topped off with a hot drink of your choice....Absolutely savoured every mouthful, we took some cake home all boxed up to have with a brew later on. The staff are all very friendly and the lady in charge was very chatty which is lovely and you were made to feel welcome. This truly was excellent value for money and we will definitely be back again. Thanks....
