We went on a busy Saturday evening as a group of 6 people. We had pre-booked a table but it took a while for us to be seated, that said we were in no rush. Once seated at a comfortable round table we had our drinks brought over. A while later our order was taken. The food, when it arrived, certainly hit the spot and was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. Drinks flowed during the evening and there was a great atmosphere enjoyed by all, even the waiting staff enjoyed our company and decided to interact with us and were involved in our group photo shot (bless)! A slight mar on our evening was that my wife’s hair got singed as she was taking her seat, this was due to a portable heater placed on a windowsill in close proximity to our table and her hair was sucked in,(lucky escape)! However, our dilemma was dealt with immediately and professionally and we received a generous discount at payment. I’m sure that the heater has now been removed too (lesson learned)! Apart from that incident, we had a brilliant time at the Pavilion restaurant, thank you.

Only left about 15 minutes ago and had to review straight away. Phenomenal experience from start to finish. Probably the most welcoming place I've ever eaten in, attentive doesn't even begin to describe every single member of staff. You are made to feel like a VIP by all of them and then the food comes. Fresh, piping hot, tasty and good prices. Easily the best around. Would add another 5🌟 if I could.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The customer service of this restaurant has become atrocious. We had the most horrendous experience tonight from the big man who presented himself as the manager of the establishment.

Our order was taken down incorrectly by the ‘manager’ who was clearly not paying attention to us. Food arrived late, cold, and certain dishes were missing despite advising staff twice of the missing starters.

We were given some food which a waiter told us was on the house as our food ‘a few minutes late’. However the manager kept insisting that we ordered this food despite us, and his staff, advising him otherwise. He chose not to listen to the waiter who advised us it was on the house.

We were charged for the food that we did not receive and for the food we did not order. We asked that the bill only reflect the food we received. However the manager began shouting and was quite rude to a point where the whole the restaurant was looking at us. This situation was highly embarrassing and unprofessional.

We explained to him that we did not receive all of our food, the service was bad, we waited 50 minutes for our starters, which only arrived 5 mins before we finished our mains. He began telling me that this is not a fast food place, it’s not a McDonald’s and that our food is never late. I understand this is not a fast food place which is why I am happy to pay extra to attend a restaurant which has a high quality of service and food. We felt extremely belittled by this comment which was repeated a further 3 times. I queried whether he would take the bad service into consideration whilst demonstrating that the chicken was cooked rough but he just laughed at us and ignored the question.

When we discussed the bill the manager brought the price down by a couple of pounds. We were not happy with this because we were still being charged for the starters we did not receive. He then told me my husband ordered the free food and didn’t order any starters, I explained that I ordered the food, not my husband, and I specifically pointed at the set menu. We even brought the waiter in again but the manager would not listen.

He then charged us more money and increased the price back up. After arguing with us and creating a scene we paid and left. The manager clearly did not have any people skills and should not be a manager. Avoid...

Dreadful. The restaurant was very difficult to locate due to the very poor lighting outside the premises, we drove past four times! Not an inviting frontage. The staff greeted us warmly and we only a very short time to be taken to our table.

The popadoms were very greasy and had a strange taste to them!

The pickle tray was large but contained some kind of very dark liquid as one of the chutneys!! What was this?

We ordered our drinks and proceeded to wait for our food. During this time we were assaulted by the noise emanating from a table of local people adults and children. I have never ever been subjected to noise and bad behaviour of this kind in any restaurant that we have visited anywhere in the world! The children were allowed to run feral around tables where people were already eating. The management should have been on top of this behaviour from the start and advised the family to control their children.

In the end we waited so long for our food that my husband developed a headache from the noise and we decided to pay for what we had had and leave.

The staff member that we spoke to asked the manager to come and see us. He was really quite defensive and said that it was a birthday party and, obviously, we weren't used to going out to restaurants! How rude that was! I assured him that we ate out at least two or three times a week and never had we had such a terrible time. He then kept wanting to char6ys for three drinks instead of the two that we had had.

I really must say that I always review the restaurants where we have eaten anywhere throu8the world and this is truly the worst one that I ha e...

I had read great reviews about the level of service and food but our experience was completely the opposite. It has to be worst food ive had. The service was just normal....nothing exceptional but not bad either. We ordered a mixed grill. Most restaurants do starters fairly well but the mains are usually hit or miss. However the starters were aweful. The chops were tough and tasteless and the chicken tikka was so tough i couldnt tear it without alot of force with my bare hands. No exageration. They tasted rubbery too as did the seekh kebabs. When i showed the waiter he let slip that they had been left in the microwave too long. His words exactly. I was shocked. In all my years i have never been to any restaurant no matter what the standard where starters are not freshly cooked. I was flabbergasted. He then quickly tried to wash over and say i mean cooked. I then recalled why they tasted so familiar. Trust me everyone when i say that these were frozen chicken tikkas and seekh kebabs that you get in a packet from the freezer section of an asian supermarket. I kid you not. I was trying to think i recognise the taste. The mains were very average too. I can only conclude that those leaving glowing reviews dont know their food or dont eat out much or have been left by their mates. If the restaurant responds to this saying it was all fresh food......its...
