Fairways Diner Within Fairways Garden Centre — Restaurant in Rochford

A lot of people are worried about going out to public places at the moment, and I wanted to write this post about our experience at Fairways Dinner.

My family and I went for breakfast yesterday at the diner, it was our first time out for a meal, post lockdown. We were confident that Fairways would be COVID secure, and we weren’t wrong. There is plenty of room in the cafe, the tables have all been spread out more than 2 metres apart. The inside area is fully ventilated from the air conditioning unit, and the doors are all open. There is hand sanitizer as you walk in and on each table. Each tables is cleaned down between change of customers. The team were all wearing PPE and following safety procedures. You wait for the bill at your table instead of going to the counter.

And much, much more.

But it still felt relaxed and nice in there, and Jo, Amanda and their team are as happy and friendly as ever, and the food is still amazing.

I posted this because I love Fairways diner, but secondly I am a chartered health and safety consultant. I've been advising a lot of businesses on how to reopen safely, so if you don't believe me, who will you believe?

Went for breakfast a few days ago July 2019 . From the outside I was a little unsure with a large tent like structure. However once in side . Clean & tidy . Good value cafe and food tasted ok . Would def recommend as a classic cafe . &**Returned today Oct 2022 .. Pretty much as previous visit . Prices obviously had gone up a little . Service although pleasant was lacking in the communication with the back of house cooks . Everything was written down correctly & charged correctly as per the order but came out wrong or not cooked correctly. 3 of us ordered together but because of the mix up of orders we eat at different times & had drunk our teas etc before breakfast arrived correctly without an offer of a fresh drink . I had bacon / sausage / egg sandwich which was just OK.. the bacon was very fatty and tough . Not sure if will be a top choice to return too . Would have been nice to acknowledge they hadn't succeeded on 3 simple orders ...or a...

This place defiantly serves the best bread I’ve ever tasted. The full English’s from here are very nice, staff always polite and friendly. You can get deserts and very tasty milk shakes from here.

You can sometimes see the owner sat down in the restaurant meeting and greeting customers which is something I have long admired about him. He’s not shy to get he’s hands dirty when theres a lot of work on.

Nice place, nice atmosphere, nice staff, nice food, nice shakes… ffs this reviews now probably gonna make me go down there now as starting to...
