We have been coming to this Cafe for years. I am so disappointed that I feel the need to post this review. We won't be back...

Got there when it opened. The room was freezing cold. Let a customer behind us go first as we were undecided. 10 minutes later after the staff member had regaled the story of doing up a horse box and putting a jacuzzi into a boat....with a story board of pics on her phone, she disappeared into the kitchen ignoring me. So her colleague served us. So ordered a sausage sandwich on white bread and a bosuns breakfast. The sandwich arrived on granary doorstep bread, so thick and dougy it was inedible. The breakfast arrived with an uncooked egg, cold ba on and thick granary bread smothered in Marge. Half a plate of cold slimy mushrooms . I politely told the waitress that the egg was uncooked, and the rest I would have put up with, so after 10 seconds the same egg was returned, hard, still cold despite the flash refry and totally disgusting to eat.

By this time, my poor husband was struggling not to gag on the all bread, no sausage sandwich. In the end it was so bad we left the food and cut our losses and left. We had travelled from SMB and passed about 15 cafés to specifically visit a favourite place. We did not recognise the people but it was cold, uninviting and...

From the outside this cafe looked really welcoming. Very busy, which I thought was a good sign that it must be popular. I came here with a Co worker and two residents who had learning disabilities. Being with two residents meant that I had to order our drinks but pay separately for each one. The woman behind the counter was far from happy about this. Choosing to not say a word to me through out the transaction. Looking disgusted when I asked for receipts and feeling like I was being told off for not having the right change for the drinks. There was no thank you or politeness and no offer of a tray or help to get all my drinks outside. When I got back to the residents home I found that one of the receipts was completely blank and just a plain bit of paper. When I told another staff member of the experience, they'd had the same problem as we had. We don't go looking to upset people when we ask to pay separately, unfortunately it's a part of our job and I've always told the person up front that is...

This is a difficult one to review. I'd so like to give 5 stars, was tempted to give only 3 but will settle on 4. The reason is two fold. The food and selection was really good however, I decided to eat outside as there were no available tables inside. As a result my cooked breakfast was served in a polystyrene take away box with wooden cutlery. Ok, the actual food was good and everything was hot but really, trying to eat a full English breakfast from a polystyrene box is neither pleasant or practical. My second crumble is simple. Why can't people be more pleasant. Try smiling. I can appreciate the place was busy but a smile goes a long way. Don't be put off by my review. Do try it yourself. I'll go back for a second attempt but will definitely...

5th visit to Rye Harbour, happened to pop in for the first time, always managed to get the timing wrong and just closed etc... Luckily they could seat the 4 of us for breakfast, the staff and attention was welcoming and friendly... The Cafe is rustic, but, clean, plus the Covid regs were also adequately in place and observed... Must say, we all had the large breakfast (Inc drink) in preparation for our journey home, and, it was delicious! Well done!! No complaints from us all, even the dog benefitted from an uneaten sausage and bit of toast... I'd knocked up a few breakfasts over the past few days, they were half decent, this one at Bosun's Bite, different class, spot on, and food value too! Definitely be back for more if we're in the area. Yum yum!👍😉

After a long walk at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve this is the perfect place to stop off and re-fuel. A typical English cafe. Great choice of food including vegetarian and children’s options. Eat in or take away. Honest prices for food and drink. We have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. Its right next to the RNLI Lifeboat station. Full English fast sets you up for the day. The sausages and mash was a huge portion for the money. They try and source all the produce from local suppliers. Easy parking, fast service and as I said before a typical old English cafe.

Reasonably priced and friendly little cafe at Rye Harbour by the lifeguard centre. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Vegan options such as vegan cheesy chips; Avocado and beef tomatoes on sourdough bread with vegan butter; and a very generously portioned vegan sausage sandwich on really nice bread. We were too late to try the vegan brekkie but looked good and again, reasonably priced. Plant based milks available for tea/coffee at no extra cost.
