We had 3 of the Indian buffets tonight, the chef was no where to be seen so a bar member served us, we had to go back to complain because the curries were cold we waited a further 20-25mins during that time I went to the bar one of the glasses had lipstick on it so I told the young lad at the bar, he poured it straight into another glass to anyone who has had the correct training would know to pull a fresh pint in a clean glass. While I was at the bar I noticed there was only one lad serving and the bar was full needless to say people weren't getting served in the correct order. By the time I got back to my table my food had arrived, and it still wasn't piping hot. The next table to us was also having problems, they had ordered off the main menu and apparently they had run out of 90% of their order so they got their money back and left. We then went to the bar another time and another customer was handed a dirty glass (covered in lipstick same as before) and the young lad argued the toss when all he did was pour the beer out of that glass into another and was asked to pull a fresh pint. My male friend went to the toilet and told the young lad that there was no soap he then went a couple more times and nothing had changed. To be honest if it wasn't for the fact we had walked for over 35mins we would have left we heard the staff been rude to other customers and saw them just sat drinking at the end of the bar while the bar was full of...
Read moreI used to live in the area 12 years ago and used to come here often, so idesided to take my wife here on her birthday for some grub and a beer, it was a nice place, hadnt changed much, the staff seemed happy to be working there.
the food menu was very simple, i had stake, onion rings and there chips and it was the best stake, we thought it was good for the money. the pub was very quite, which i carnt understand as it looks like a seems like a good local, the only problem was the alchol was expensive, the guy who was working behind the bar said it was owned by enterprise inns, which all there pubs seem to be over priced on beer.
nice sized pub, clean, every one seemed nice, if your driving past on the m1 it junction 31, just follow the signs for aston, its on your right hand side, its deffently worth calling in for some grub if...
Read morei had a side of chips and my partner had hunters chicken, nothing wrong with the mains however took about an hour to make dessert then both came wrong, got brownie instead of fudge cake and no sauce on ice cream, at first the boys at the bar must have been new as they looked unprofessional and bad service , i asked how long the desserts where gonna be they said they didn’t want to go into the kitchen because the chef is “an angry lady” so they just told me it wouldn’t be long, after they came out with the fudge cake it tasted off, then i go to the toilet and there’s no toilet roll in any of the toilets which is funny as it isn’t busy so clearly hasn’t had any toilet checks. over all will not be coming again and very poor...
