The Shilton Arms — Restaurant in Rugby

Visited on Wednesday, few people there when we arrived and it quickly filled up. Good atmosphere. Service was good and allowed lots of time between courses. Fod was impressive. My starter of goats cheese and mushroom was lovely and my partner had the super sized pigs in blanket with a mustard sauce. Two good sized Cumberland Sausages wrapped in bacon which was part of the Christmas menu. Partner thought they were really tasty. For main I had the half rack of ribs, skinny fries, coleslaw and chicken coated in a KFCesque batter all of which were delicious. Partner had a cheeseburger and chunky chips which was excellent. 1 March 2022. Good hot food again, just like last time! Good hot food, never had a bad meal here, love it and use it regularly! What else can I say? 11 Feb 2019 just been again had the best meal ever, Green Thai curry so so good. Stole chips too they were something else. Going back next week x. The services is not slow but it not hyper quick. They serve good food that is good to wait for, but we only waited 12 minutes for our first course .... Cannot moan at that, any faster its rushed, you don't go to this restaurant for quick you go to enjoy...

Sunday lunch was pretty good, with a good size plate, nice Yorkshires and tasty meat. The roast potatoes didn't quite hit the spot and they had a number of beer taps unavailable at the time. The sticky toffee pudding & crumble are the way to go for dessert; the Christmas pudding portion is comically small, the sticky toffee pudding is at least 4x the size. The beer garden area looks pretty exciting, but we didn't spend any time out there during this visit.
