Good Food Gamston — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

I've used this takeaway a few times, it's always been pretty mediocre. Tonight I placed an order that took 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive (was told 30-40 minutes). The food was terrible - the chips were like cold sticks of cardboard, the crispy shredded beef was soft, the house special fried rice was simply egg fried rice (clearly they messed up our order) and the chicken 'satay' was basically rubbery chicken floating in some tasteless yellowish water....

In fairness the prawn crackers were rather nice.

I had to call to see where my order was, when the driver arrived I asked how much I'd been charged for delivery.. £3. When I asked for this to be refunded (I paid over the phone) He said 'it's Friday night, what do you expect' and followed this up with 'I'm just a delivery driver' as he was walking off. Nice.

I called to complain and was told that I'd receive a discount on my next order. This is a bit weak and when paying £26 for a spring roll, 2 mains, rice and chips I expect to get half decent food. I said that I wasn't happy with this and that I wanted a refund, to which they declined. I offered to return the food but given it had been dished up and wasn't all there (in order to appreciate just how bad the food was one does have to actually taste it). Because the food wasn't still in the containers and wasn't all there they wouldn't refund mmmm, what were they going to do? Resell it.....

Needless to say I won't be going here again and I'd strongly advise anyone reading this review...

Usually the service and food is amazing tonight well... The women on the phone/front desk is very rude! Blunt on the phone unlike the other two ladies that do the same job! When arrived tonight there was a few people looking at the menu not ready to order then myself then a man behind me the rude women then serves the man behind me takes his money and collects his food even after he had stated i was first she then ignored me again and goes on to serve the people that were looking at the menu i then say sorry but im here to pay and collect and very bluntly i was told ' i am serving' so i walk out 30minutes later i get a call asking where i am i state that she was rude so i walk out and explain why i walked away. I then got shouted out down the phone by her!

Good food gamston sort your staff and get rid of her the older lady and the lady that is always very bright are much better than the one you had tonight just plain rudeness!

Would give zero if possible. Ordered a meal including ribs costing £5. Received a box with a handful of very small dry pieces. Called back to let them know and was told we were 'just unlucky' and that was seemingly ok with them. Asked for some sort of reimbursement and the young lady put the phone down on me. Spoke to manager and he wasn't that bothered, apart from the rudeness of his staff. He thought that their costs keep going up made the portion acceptable. Any other takeaway would've provided 4 times the number/size/quality of ribs. Would not...
