Three of us went on Easter Saturday for a pub lunch and it could not have been nicer. Two of us had burgers and the other had fish and chips, which was a large portion. The chunky chips were lovely. Overall, the food was excellent quality and great value - it would put more expensive "gastro" pubs to shame. The waitress was friendly and could not have been more helpful and got our orders right, double-checking to make sure. A great outing.

Stayed in Nottingham for 4 nights and ended up eating here twice. 4 adults and 5 kids. Staff were all really friendly. Went on the Saturday and had hunters chicken. Then went back on the Sunday for a roast, with bottomless Yorkshire’s and roast potatoes 😍. We were probably the loud ones as we were drinking and laughing loads, the staff joined in and we were left in the corner to have fun.

Absolutely the best customer service I've seen in a long time. The staff made the covid restrictions easy to cope with. The food was of a good standard. The landlord made us very welcome as we'd phoned to book a table and watch football on TV, so he gave us a complete area to ourselves. Fabulous and massively recommended

Went to poker night & wasnt informed children werent allowed after a certain time. Inhad alreay bought in to the poker game as did my partner & our lift (£6 each so £18 pound toltal wasted if we all left). Had to sit in the car park with my baby untill our lift could take us home. Staff did give me a warm drink as i was sat ouside on the grass crying with him wrapped in a blanket. Hence a 2 rather than a 0. Also tbf its a nice enough pub but think this was disgusting. I had already paid my tournament entry, they was me with my child & new I plaued poker & was with the poker group & never said we had to leave & no signs were up or me my partner & our lift wouldnt have bought into the tournament. As i wasnt allowed to stay it ment all of us leaving & loosing our buy ins to the pub poker league (£18) or me sitting in the car park with my baby as I wasnt allowed on the pub premises with my baby as they were inder 18) It was most disteressing & upsetting. I had been going to the pub for a while & used to go with my daughter when she was younger but then the poker league was held in a separate room (under different managment) so guess the 'law' in that istant was differernet. . just such a shame as the pub overall used to be very friendly & good.

I'd also add its a little on the...

Where do I start we reserved a table on line for 4 of us at 2.45pm the guy behind the bar could not find booking so showed him conformation of it at 3.40 still no table having asked him 3 times about table we decided to eat where we sat on table 18 we were told only turkey left so 3 of us ordered Sunday roast that I wouldn't have fed to a dog the vegetables were all dry the gravy was lumpy and well the mash potatoes you could slice up they were that dry obviously been sat on hotplate for goodness knows how long the other person had gammon it was very chewy and tasted like a pot of salt we complained to the guy behind bar who said manager is in Barbados not good enough you need training in customer service it was our friends first time here and the last how embarrassing on our part as we've eaten here many times before never again we also ordered chocolate brownie which was not nice very synthetic taste but ice cream was OK also Samantha and Jess you need to be mentioned as you couldn't do enough when you came on shift very...

Had a party of 26 booked for a family birthday - on a Sunday! Nothing was too much trouble, the service was impeccable. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. All food was pre-ordered to help out kitchen staff and cannot complain! Didn't hear any complaints from any family members about their food. Large portions and cooked well. Extra yorkies and roasties brought around and even extra gravy. We were well looked after! Staff provided plates, knife and napkins for our own cake and we were even able to put banners up and decorate tables. Good ales on offer. Generally, an all round fabulous afternoon for a surprise 95th birthday lunch. I am certain that many of us will come back when visiting again. Considering it was a lovely Sunday, the staff coped with a busy pub exceptionally well, as well as such a large...
