Phoned for pizza at 9.15 Delivery driver could not find address (which no other outlets fail.) They could not get through on my daughters phone for directions so went back to store with my pizza. When My daughter called to find out what is going on they said they could not find the address and asked if we still want it? Yes please and provided more details of our address. When the pizza arrived one hour and 20 minutes later it was cold. The deliverer offered to bring back a fresh cooked pizza and I said yes please. He confirmed that I want the same pizza and I said yes please. An hour passed and no pizza arrived so I called the store. The lady said the driver said you don't want a pizza . So I repeated that the driver offered a new pizza and then confirmed it was the same order and then said he would be back with a new pizza. Then the lady said why do I leave it so long to call back. I thought this was a rude question to ask . She then said there is nothing I can do as the oven.has been turned off. I told I was not happy with the service and then she hang up on me. So I called back again and the same lady answered and pretended she could not hear me and hung up again. So I called again and the same lady answered and hung up on me. What treatment is this to a paying customer? What kind of service is this ? As it happens my daughter works for another domino branch and she confirmed that she has witnessed staff being rude to customers on the phone and hanging up on them. My daughter said at the time to her colleague that you can't do that. It appears that occasionally dominos staff are very rude to paying customers and if they are like me then they will choose a different pizza company. . I really could not believe how I was treated. I have not given the drivers name or the lady's name. I will give these when I speak to someone higher up in the company. From a very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThanks to the pandemic gluten-free pizzas have not been made available (for whatever reason) to order. I called this specific take-away today to find out when this may change again. The gentleman I spoke to seemed confused with the question and seemed to group gluten-free options with vegan. Hate to break it to you, but not all vegan options are gluten-free, as gluten is found in many products made from grains, such as the breadcrumbs some vegan products are coated in. Further training is definitely required, and now would be a good time for it to be provided BEFORE gluten-free options become fully available again.
I have bought gluten-free pizzas from this takeaway before, and thankfully I have never suffered from an immune response caused by cross contamination. Todayās phonecall does however put some doubt in my mind to whether this is going to continue to be the case.
The first thing staff need to learn is that Coeliacs do not avoid gluten due to a gluten allergy. They avoid gluten because it causes an auto-immune response that causes the personās immune system to attack the body itself. Allergies and food intolerances are a completely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreArrived home to discover one of the pizzas of a large order had been wrongly prepared, with an incorrect topping. This had potentially serious implications due to a food allergy within our family.
Returned to the shop with the entire and untouched pizza and requested a refund. They agreed the pizza was not made as ordered but refused to issue a refund.
They claim that they are unable to process a card refund from the shop. Really? Dominos is a multinational business, yet they use card readers in shops that are unable to process refunds??? Being cynical, Iām guessing the store might not be telling the full story, when advising they canāt process card refunds.
Mistakes happen but itās how a business responds when that happens is the measure. This was extremely poor service all round. I left the shop without a replacement and no refund issuedā¦.. Avoid...
