Not a great first visit! And we will not be going back. Husband and I went for a meal here on Sunday evening and were disappointed. When we arrived a member of staff came over to greet us he was very friendly and asked if we had booked, I said no and he said he would ask manager if we could be seated, whilst he went to see the manager a waitress came over and also asked if we had booked, again I said no and she was half way telling me that there was no space when the manager came over and said there was space. The manager sat us down but didn't bring any menus for a couple of minutes. The male waiter came over and took a drinks order, I had a large soft drink and my husband had a cocktail, when the drinks arrived, the cocktail wasn't served correctly, it was in a large wine glass not even half full and had only a few melted ice cubes (we would expect it to be served in correct glass over crushed ice), it didn't look appetizing at all. We ordered Meatballs and a Prawn Cocktail for starters, they arrived in a timely manner, the Meatballs were ok a little lacking in flavour but not terrible, the Prawn Cocktail was almost laughable, it was served on a little rectangular plate, a few bits of salad leaves, a wedge of lemon and some frozen supermarket bought prawns. The starters were cleared and mains arrived shortly after. Main courses were Spaghetti Carbonara and Spaghetti Alla Marinara, the Carbonara was nice and I did enjoy it but my husband did not enjoy the Spaghetti Marinara, he said the seafood was of rubber texture and bland, the large Prawn that should have been on top of the dish was forgotten and brought out around 4 minutes later. There was a large table in the restaurant so I am not sure if this made our experience lacking but from what we experienced on Sunday we will not be returning. I must say that the staff were lovely and were very friendly. I did not complain at the time as it was embarrassing and we wanted to...
Read moreMyself and my partner took my parents here on Saturday night when they had come up to visit. It was a fairly last minute booking so the only time available was 8.30pm but it was so worth it.
We arrived a little early and it was very busy! There was a large group leaving and there were another large group sat down at the table. We were told we could wait at the bar and order a drink. The man at the bar was lovely, though clearly very busy dealing with drinks orders for tables as well as the 6 people standing at the bar, but we were happy to wait. By the time our drinks orders were done a table was ready and we were taken to be seated.
Every member of staff was a delight in there. And the food? AMAZING. As we finished up our meal the chef came out to ask how our meal was. What a lovely guy! We had a little chat with him before leaving. As we left and got in a cab the chef came running out with my dad's phone and glasses he left at the table.
Can't wait to go back. So glad we...
Read moreWhat an amazing restaurant. I took my mum and dad here tonight for my dads 70th birthday. The ambiance was so beautiful, the staff couldn't have been any more helpful if they tried. The food was also amazing be it off the set menu (which is well priced between certain times) or the every day menu. Nothing was too much for the staff to accommodate. Antonio the Manager sent us some complimentary garlic pizza bread as we waited for our meals and no matter how busy they became he kept checking we were all enjoying our meals. I would highly recommend Siena restaurant as you won't find any finer dining and quality of service anywhere else. It's a massive thumbs up from me and now that i've found it lets just say i'm going to become a regular. My mum and dad also loved their food and there are no negative words i could associate with this restaurant. If you're looking for a great meal, happy, friendly staff look no...
