White Horse — Restaurant in Salford

Visited on a Sunday with a large party, after looking on the menu 2 of us decided to go for the mixed grill which was also one of the most expensive options and 1 of the group went for the steak. Firstly the order came out wrong, the fried eggs on my mixed grill looked like they had been through a blender, the chicken was encased in a jelly like substance, the sausages were at least on their 2nd showing and the whole meal tasted like it had just come out of the microwave and had the consistency of rubber. This was the same for both mixed grills The member of our group also commented that the steak was cooked wrong, very chewy and tasteless, it was so bad he could not finish it. I did not complain at the time as i did not want to spoil the occasion, i called the next day to explain to a member of staff who promised me the Manager would be in touch.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a business trip. The service was impeccable. The hotel was immaculate and the room was exquisite, comfortable and had everything I needed. I paid for a package which included breakfast, and it was delicious.. I was greeted by the restaurant manager in the morning who made me feel very welcome and made sure that I was well looked after. Great customer service from all the staff in the restaurant. However the star of the trip was a young man called Josh (hotel porter). He did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I arrived at approx 12.45 with two friends and the place was empty apart from one couple having a meal and three workmen having a drink .but soon realised why that was .we ordered a meal each .mine was fish .chips. mushy peas . The fish was just an empty shell of batter with no fish inside and well overcooked they did bring me another one but on its own .its a good job i carried on eating the chips otherwise they would have been cold by the time the other fish arrived .
