My family and I (party of 8) went here for breakfast this morning. We ordered various paratah for everyone, including our 16 Yr old daughter and 12 Yr old son. They ordered Aloo paratah. We advised person at till that we had 2 children in our party, which he could also see from where he was serving. We've had paratah at various other restaurants, and home of course. These were way too hot and spicy. Our children didn't eat them, and it spoilt their meal. Baby sized portions of yogurt to go with large paratah. You have to pay for yogurt seperately. If you want extra butter you have to pay for that too. Paratah were brought out at different times. Some with, and some without yogurt. My paratah went cold by the time my yogurt arrived. Some people had finished by the time others had just started eating. Some tips for the owners: When ordering paratah or alike, advise customers of spice levels. Then either ask chefs to adjust, or offer alternative like plain parath in this case. Where there are multiple customers serve food together, and in one go. Provide pickle/achaar foc too. If charging for yogurt, then give a breakfast bowl size like other places. Butter should be foc Else they look like money making operation which currently they are. Not focusing on their customer...
Read moreWent here for my birthday and firstly I must say the food is beautiful and came out super fast. They did me a king prawn Madras despite it not being on the menu and it was very tasty. But I can honestly say we shall not be returning for the simple reason that is was way too busy for us. You couldn't hear yourself think it was so loud. With a very busy bar area right by the seating area. The tables are very close together so you almost feel you are dining with the people next to you also. As soon as we had finished our meal there were people standing there asking for our table. They literally sat down next to me and my hubby whilst our kids were on the toilet making us feel that uncomfortable we went and waited for the kids at the bottom of the stairs. In my opinion this place is ok if you are with a group of friends and you want a laugh and a few to drink and a tasty meal but not if you are with your kids and want a nice family meal it's just way way too busy and noisy for that. The food was on the high average side cost wise and yes it was tasty but the noise and the crammed in like sardines just spoilt it for us...
Read moreWent here for the first time on Saturday evening, hoping to eat in as a few friends had recommended it. We got there just after 7pm and went into the bar & ordered drinks. The restaurant was fully booked but it seemed a really nice place so we decided to stay for a couple more drinks. As busy as it was I didn't notice anyone having to wait to be served. Staff were great, really friendly & helpful and fast service, very impressive especially considering how busy it was! Bar prices were very reasonable, £6 for pint lager & a single g&b. We ordered food from the restaurant to take out which was ready in 15mins. We had lamb biryani & chicken madras and it was by far the best curry we've had for a very long time. Both meals were absolutely beautiful. There was plenty meat in both, the sauces were tasty without overwhelming the meat and both chicken & lamb were cooked perfectly. The flavours were stunning! We also had samosa, rice, chips, naan & roti and total cost was under £22 which we thought mega reasonable for the quality of the food. I'd advise booking for the restaurant Fridays & Saturdays. We're...
