Sweet Therapy — Restaurant in Sandwell

Not long moved to this area so was happy when I noticed a desert place down the road, went in tonight to treat the kids to make your own waffles, places my order asked the worker how long it will take he said 15 mins so I left the shop and came back in 20mins, collected order went home opened the boxes the waffles were very drenched and soggy and flat not the normal crispy fluffy I received from various other desert shops, could not taste waffle at all.

when I was able to after dealing with very upset kids as a treat is extremely rare financially I called the shop expressed my issue, the worker informed me he normally gets complaints that the waffles do not have enough sauces so he put 2 layers of sauce on n this is how they now make them, fair enough I asked if I could return the ones that hadn't been binned yet and have another made without so much much sauce, he asked if I could call back in 10 mins which I did and his answer was no I explained I have very upset children and do not want to again pay another £15 but he still said no I said could I only exchange 1 just so the kids can have their treat was still a no. He first said I collected very late but I reminded him he said 15 mins I came 5mins over and with any delivery it would take them the time to deliver so this made no sense.

I really did not want to leave a negative review but I would like to warn others who may financially be only able to give their children a expensive treat in a blue moon to them experience this and loose out.

I have two very upset children tonight and unsure when they are next able to have the luxury treat but I will not be ordering from this store again,

I did not want anything for free just wanted the issue rectified was more than happy to hand back the boxes in exchange for ones that we would be able to eat,

The owners who the shop worker refers he had spoken to about the issue obviously cares more about taking money than having satisfied customers. It wasn't a case of simple the children did not like the food it was more the waffles did not meet the expectations they are supposed to instead tasted like eating a spoon full of nutella with chocolate pieces and soggy waffles which u couldn't even tell it was a waffle bite as it was so thin and flat and soggy and over ridden with the chocolate sauce.

I do hope my experience and review help other people who may think about purchasing waffles from here. I will be sure to alert all do not want anyone to experience this and be left with very upset children and no extra finances to repurchase from elsewhere.

I hope the owners read this review and take on board how they have impacted by simply not rectifying the issue and how needed this treat was for my children tonight and that 15 pound may not be a lot to some but not everyone is able to have these...

I placed an order at about 6:40pm but it didn't arrive till about 8:20pm, almost 30 mins there delivery time given. I called to query where my order was, I was told it was being delivered to 53 wheatsheaf road tividale, and was told if they rejected the order they could delivery to me then, this was clearly a lie as this is there address, when they saw it had there address I was not contacted to clear up the confusion. We have ordered from here many times and have never had an issue and always enjoyed our food but this time we were disappointed, the waffles was very thin, cookies were hard and ice cream was runny, I would of normally put this down to a one off due to never having an issue before but the way it way handed on the phone when I called and the call i got from the manager after in my opinion was not good customer service so unfortunately we will be going elsewhere in the future.
