Wife and kids brought me here on my birthday after I said I wanted desi food with minimal fuss. This turned out to be the right place. At first, we walked in to the pub side by mistake, and I was massively disappointed thinking the place was a dive, but luckily we were guided to the restaurant side which was much nicer! It was very quiet when we were seated, we were the only diners there, but shortly a much larger and louder group came in, also celebrating a birthday by the looks of it. We were served by a young lady, (sorry, didn't catch her name). She was great, very friendly and talkative, and got everything right when we asked for specific things like asking to take the wings out of the mixed grill. She even came back to check and make sure the chef had done as she'd asked. The food was much better than I had expected, as I don't really hear about this place a lot these days. The mixed grill had a spicy kick to it which is just how I like it. We ordered a lot so we had to get it packed up, but we did finish it at home because it was so good. The only bad thing to say is that one of our plates had chips/cracks and one had a little stain on it, but we didn't make a thing out of it. Overall the experience was worthy of 5 stars.

**Bacaba Indian Restaurant Review** The menu is filled with classic Indian dishes, but what truly stands out is the quality and taste of the food. The *Mixed Grill* is a standout dish — generous portions of tender meats, including juicy chicken, lamb, and seekh kebabs, all perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. It's a feast for the eyes and stomach, The portion size is more than enough to satisfy, making it a great choice for those with a big appetite. The curries here are equally impressive. Rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced, the dishes are a true testament to Bacaba's commitment to delivering top-notch Indian flavors, the rice complements the dishes wonderfully. Service is friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. The staff is always happy to make recommendations or adjust the spice level to suit your taste. In conclusion, Bacaba Indian Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience, with generous portion sizes, bold flavors, and a menu that will please even the most discerning palate. Highly recommend the *Mixed Grill* and a visit in general — you won’t leave hungry!

Very rude and amateur employees. Found a shard of metal in my Saag Paneer, presumably from tinned spinach. Called restaurant to address this issue, providing my name, order number and the exact order items, and delivery driver name but the rude lady on the phone said she doesn’t recognise this, and they did not deliver to us. Apparently she is the ‘Manager on duty’ and refused to give her name, and denied all knowledge of the order. Order amount was £65.26 and there were young children eating the food. Absolutely unprofessional conduct. I said I would be raising it with uber eats,as I have now done. This metal shard is being kept as evidence as it’s obviously a large tin of spinach which does not come with a ring pull option.i would hate to think of the option if one of the kids ate it.

Waited over 40 mins for food to come out, however this was STRONGLY disputed by the manager/owner? who basically accused me of lying! Could do with some training in hospitality whoever he was. After being advised food would be 'about 20 mins' it took 40mins, and that was challenging with three young and hungary kids! Had to hunt the waiter to get water or anything for that matter! Considering we were the one of the first people to enter the empty restaurant (at which point the manager/owner didn't even acknowledge us BTW) the wait was appalling. We were offered popodoms as the food was going to be delayed which we thought was a good will gesture, but NO they charged for them! When I asked for the bill to reviewed the manager/owner had the audacity to argue the the wait time with me! Given I was paying almost £100 you'd think he would happily knock off the £5 for popodoms as a gesture! What was even more infuriating was the fact that he wouldnt talk to me! The inferior women! Despite me ordering me paying, me requesting the bill and me disputing the bill, he only wanted to speak to my husband!!! The customer service needs work! food was ok but over priced for the portions and for the place itself. Wouldn't go there again or recommend, unsure how award was won, must be a case of 'who you know not...

WORSE FOOD I HAVE EVER TASTED..WORSE RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE..

Came in a couple of weeks ago group of 8-10 of us before our holiday.. and what a huge regret that was.. This used to be my local for many years but since it has been taken under new management.. I don’t normally use the word disgusting in regards to any food.. But In this instance I honestly have no other words left to describe the food and service..other that tottaly disgusting !

Cold Stale reheated old food.. it smelt funny..left disgusting taste in my mouth..

When I challenged the staff was my comments were ignored and basically brushed off..no resolution and disrespectfully offered a measly £10 refund on a £150 bill..

What was meant to be a nice meal before a holiday left us all with upset stomachs.. It Ruined our whole holiday.. Therefore just got back now first thing I had to do was write this review and report this place to the foods standard agency To ensure no one else has to go through what me and my family did..

My poor dad again what he thought was he local go to place for a Indian meal Was left shocked He’s words were this is ‘absolutely pathetic’ Service and food!

They are a disgrace to the name bacaba and shouldn’t be allowed to operate under that Name..!

Avoid...
