Fantastic Local Spot – Clean, Comfortable, and Consistently Great Food
This Tim Hortons in Oldbury has quickly become my go-to eatery. Located conveniently on Birchley Island, just off Junction 2 of the M5, it’s ideally placed for a quick stop or a longer visit. It's nestled in a large retail park, which makes it perfect for combining a meal with a session at JD Gym, a quick shop at B&M or Frozen Foods, or even a treat from the McDonald’s next door.
The restaurant itself is brand new and you can really tell — it still looks fresh, crisp, and shiny. It’s immaculately maintained inside and out. Honestly, the cleanliness here reminds me of an operating theatre — everything sparkles! Full credit to the cleaning team and whoever manages the standards here.
The space is large and welcoming, with plenty of different seating options: traditional tables and chairs, comfy sofas, and even upholstered armchairs. Whether you're in for a quick coffee or planning to lounge a bit longer, there’s a spot for you.
Ordering is easy and efficient. There are three dual ordering terminals (six in total), or you can go to the till. Personally, I find the terminals super intuitive and user-friendly — no fuss, no confusion.
The food preparation area is always spotless, and the staff are clearly busy but still friendly and approachable. They’re happy to advise or chat if you need anything, which gives the service a personal touch I really appreciate.
As for the food — it's always been fresh, warm, and tasty. I've never had a single issue. Everything is made to order, and the quality is consistently excellent. It can take a little longer during peak times (this location is open 24/7 and has a busy drive-thru plus lots of delivery drivers coming and going), but I never mind the wait knowing the food is worth it.
The atmosphere is another reason I keep coming back. It’s relaxed and versatile — whether I need a quick formal meal, a grab-and-go option, or just want to unwind with a coffee on the sofa and do a bit of people-watching, it fits the bill. The large windows also give great views and bring in loads of natural light.
I used to feel like Tim Hortons was a bit pricier than other fast-food places, but with recent inflation, prices have evened out. Now it feels on par with McDonald’s — only the food quality here is...
Read moreIn Tim Hortons Fast food restaurant Junction 2 Oldbury. Has the potential to smash McDonald's, KFC & Burger King out the park. Outside the large bins were over flowing with rubbish which wasn't really nice to see (BUT MORE A COUNCIL ISSUE) The drivethrough was consistantly busy. The restaurant is light and airy and clean. The funky and comfortable furniture is very pleasing to the eye and posterior. The menu has very interesting and original choices of food. The self service ordering machines were precise and easy to use. The price was reasonable and competitive with other fast food outlets. I ordered a HotDog 🌭, lattice fries, 2 pots of Sweet Chilli Sauce, Cherry 🍒 Cooler and a lemon 🍋 Meringue Donut 🍩. The food took longer to arrive than it did to consume considering the amount of staff behind the scenes. When it finally arrived the lattice fries were cold and hard. The replacement was slightly warmer but still hard. They had run out of Sweet Chilli Sauce pots so I replaced it with Chipotle. The sauce pots are the wrong shape to dip lattice fries into. The Hotdog 🌭 was the perfect temperature, thanks mainly to being wrapped in an insulated foil. The relish in the Hotdog 🌭 however was at the bottom causing the roll to be soggy & slightly unpalatable. The Lemon 🍋 Meringue Donut 🍩 was divine BUT this could be attributed to it being sourced from elsewhere. Cherry 🍒 Cooler had melted considerably due to the delay of the arrival of the whole food order. A very very disappointing first time experience BUT believe it still has the potential to seriously challenge the top 4 Fast Food outlets if it can iron out its poor human errors, and time management. Not sure if I could still recommend Tim Hortons and put my bad experience...
Read moreWe visited for breakfast and honestly it was a shambles, if I was basing it on service it would be 0 stars, its only because when we eventually got our food it was nice. We arrived to find massive queues on both the drive thru and restaurant. We joined the restaurant queue and it didn't move for around 25 minutes, people tried asking staff what was going on but they just said they didn't know. Eventually we where told the order screen was full so they couldn't take any more orders until it cleared, although they continued to take drive thru orders. After around 35 minutes we managed to place our order on one of the screens, then waited around 10 minutes for the food. We realised at the table out order was incorrect so had to go back and get the correct item which took another few minutes. After we had eaten the kids wanted to try the Tim Bits so I ordered some (the queue had gone down by then) but instead of them having someone manning that section I had to wait for all the hot orders to be cooked and handed out before they boxed the donut bits that where just sat waiting, if the staff where none stop I'd have understood but they weren't a lot where standing around waiting. My husband has taken the kids for tea as well and the order was incorrect 3 times before he got what he asked for. I've heard similar stories from a lot of people so won't be visiting again until big...
