This was our first family outing to a restaurant in a year. This place looked good. I booked an inside table and the no alcohol restrictions didn't affect my family's visit as we drove there.

The food was at best average, and the portion size disappointing. I paid ยฃ9 for 5 King prawns as a starter. The sauce/ cooking juice was the best part of this starter and I expected to have it served with at least a slice of bread to savour this but had to take a slice from my daughters serving as she had soup (which was a good soup TBH).

My daughter and I's pasta arrived cold on top as though it had been left waiting. Our sons pizza arrived after everyone else's. We ordered four portions of amaretto and espresso topped ice cream and two arrived completely melted as the person making them had obviously poured the hot espresso straight on top of each one as it was made instead of doing them all at once so they could be served frozen.

I did feel that the one and only serving staff member was stressed and stretched by the 4 and at one point 5 tables she was attempting to cover. I was also aware that the manager/owner was present but took no notice or action to rectify this issue. I paid ยฃ120 ( remember no alcohol) for a three course meal for four, of very average food. I would have been more than happy to pay this if the experience was up to scratch but it just wasn't.

Possibly as the outside dining was rammed and the added profit due to alcohol being permitted to serve, the owner lost the concept of family repeat customers ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

I felt really sorry for the girl that served us and regardless of the food, the portion size, and the cost. And the do nothing manager/owner swanning about while doing nothing but stress her out even more......I really hope she put the cash tip in her pocket as she was the only one on my family's visit who tried as hard as she could to make our visit something we would do again.

Obvs we're not going back again but I wish the service staff the best of luck finding an establishment that will put them front of house and give them the respect and support for what they are doing ( even though they are likely the lowest paid) the service wasn't great - only because the management was...

My friend and I popped in for a coffee and cake here today. It wasnโ€™t overly busy, and we had chosen to go here as we thought with it being an Italian restaurant, that the coffee would be of a slightly higher standard than Starbucks etc.. how very wrong we were! We ordered 2 lattes and a slice of Lemon Loaf to share - as it looked like a fair size of cake on display. When the coffeeโ€™s arrived, my friend and I had a sip and immediately both agreed that they tasted vile. It was like warm water with a faint taste of coffee. When we advised the waitress of this, instead of offering to make 2 coffees from fresh, she decided to bring us an extra shot of coffee to add in. This only proceeded to make the coffeeโ€™s taste even worse. Literally the worst coffee Iโ€™ve ever tasted. Iโ€™m not sure how someone can get a simple lattรฉ so very wrong? Maybe they had used coffee that was meant to go in a filter, and just added hot water like instant coffee? It was very bitter and unenjoyable. I decided to choose water instead, and the waitress said the coffee would be deducted from our bill. The slice of lemon loaf arrived, and it was pretty thin and small. I now wish Iโ€™d taken a photo as proof, but was so desperate to get rid of the vile coffee taste that I couldnโ€™t hold off. The cake itself was ok. We got a literal dot of icing on the top- and none of the exotic swirls of icing that were on display! We asked for the bill, which had both coffees on it, then after pointing this out to the waiter, he went and changed it and then he realised heโ€™d forgotten to add the cake on - which was ยฃ4!!! for the most unimpressive slice of cake ever! I had thought that both coffeeโ€™s would have been deducted, as my friend said to the waitress that sheโ€™d keep hers and try to drink it, even though it was pretty disgusting. When we paid the bill, we said to the waiter that we wonโ€™t be back again after todayโ€™s experience, and he couldnโ€™t have looked less bothered. I was at Starbucks In Hillington earlier today with my daughter, and we really enjoyed our Iced Mochaโ€™s, the service was fabulous and the overall positive experience will definitely take...

Had a very poor customer experience today. I had lunch with a friend and my main course looked great (spaghetti, spinach, prawns and scallops in tomato sauce) However one of the scallops tasted and smelt bad so I had to return my meal virtually uneaten. The lady server offered an alternative which I declined as I had been completely put off by the taste of the scallop. Another team member (may have been the manager although he did not introduce himself) then approached and also offered an alternative which I declined. I was then speechless to hear that he had โ€˜finished my meal and it was lovelyโ€™ in effect calling me a liar. When the bill arrived I had not been charged for my uneaten meal of course but was disappointed to note that no effort had been made to compensate us (such as free coffees) My poor review was not about the food as I understand that, especially with seafood, issues with freshness and quality may occur. However the way in which this was dealt with was so very disappointing. The manager may wish to reflect on his response as it is very well known that people with poor experiences are likely to share this widely. Bridge of Weir is small but there are other places to eat where the customer is treated with respect and that is where we will be...

Lovely authentic Italian food. Premises were lovely with an optional outdoor area for a nice day. Staff were very nice, however the service was a bit all over the place. We had three different people and several times I had to go and ask for things as nobody was checking up on us, which is usually a nice touch and helpful if you need anything. Would definitely go back, and probably opt to sit inside as I feel more attention was paid the customers in there. Also I think that the starter should not have been served on garlic mayo. May I suggest a no seafood based marinara perhaps with a drizzle of balsamic glaze over the top instead off that mayo rubbish. You're welcome in advance. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ˜œ

Lovely food. Attentive and professional staff. The reason I can't give this place 5 stars is due to the loose floorboards where I was sitting. There is a narrow, busy passage that staff were moving back and forward. On which there is a loose floorboard that moved my seat up and down each time someone walked on it. This felt like being on a boat and really detracted from the experience. Oh, it also seems a few of the patrons didn't feel the need to wear a mask while moving around the restaurant. Staff need to be calling out this behaviour.

Service was very slow, but pleasant, so loathe to leave a less than average. Food was OK. Not the worst, not the best in most cases. It was well presented, but just lacking flavour. Ceasar salad was delicious though and husband enjoyed his calzone, although the sauce was also missing "something". Husband also enjoyed the calamari. I'd go back if invited or if I got a free voucher but probably not off my own back.
