We went here for a coffee before an appointment. Husband loved his caramel macchiato, FIL had an americano and I had a wonderful latte. We each had a different sweet piece which were so good my husband bought a small selection of scones and cakes to take home. The scones were so fresh they were still warm. The bakers were filling the display with fresh goodies as we had our drinks. Amazing staff they did have allergen sheets which we didn't make use of but were advertised as available on request. Planning to go back and have lunch sometime soon as the offerings are really tempting the menu was on the table today's soup of the day was butternut squash, scones of the day were pear & toffee, cheese or fruit. They offer sandwiches, toasties, wraps, salads and baked potatoes. Pricing was very reasonable for the portion sizes I could see.

Amazzzinnnggg! That is all I can say! Rich, gooey, chocolate goodness! Absolutely beautiful setting. Highly recommended. The only thing I would give feedback about, we actually struggled to find it when we got there! We couldn't see a sign for the cakery until standing right outside the window. We didn't realise it would be inside a big building with a shop and walked around for ages trying to locate it.

Amazing cakes! A really good selection. The savoury menu is also really appetising, with a selection of sandwiches, soup, wraps, jacket potatoes, etc. Also a fabulous range of tea, coffees and soft drinks. The views across the bay are gorgeous. Next door is a lovely homeware/gift shop with a wide selection of high end gifts, clothing and home decor items. Take out is also available.

This small cafe is attached to Platform, a luxury homeware and clothing shop, which interestingly is housed in the original station. It is a shame the original clock on the building end doesn't work, but I digress. The cafe is quite small but the food is very good. Had the usual americano and flat white, both of which went down very well. Partner just had a scone but she said it was very good, and boring me just had a cheese and onion toasty, very cheesy and just the right amount of onion in it, not overpowering, but able to taste it. (Hate places that put to much onion in so you stink for the rest of the day.) The staff were exceptionaly friendly, and carefull to ask if I wanted salad with my toasty as well as coldslaw and crisps. Well worth a visit for both the shop and cafe and if you like trains, walk down the yard and you can still see the original engine shed. What more could you want.

Forgot to add, has some of the best views from a cafe across the bay. Loved watching the...

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Beautiful views out over the Moray Firth. We had delicious carrot cakes in the style of a "fairy cake". Next time we'll have lunch, and I'm sure it will be five stars then. Must go back just to make sure! Other businesses inside The Platform are. a gift shop(could have spent a fortune), and a clothes shop(where you'd need a fortune in the first place) . Another area, not finished yet, looked as if it would specialise in outdoor pursuits. All in all, a not so...
