Visited September of last year & forgot to leave a review. Traveling around Scotland on a family vacation from the hills of Tennessee we headed south from Isle of Skye to our next stay on the Isle of Mull. The faster route would've taken us down A82 across the loch but we decided to take our large rental van down the single track road just for a stop at Argdour Ales. The wind was whipping the loch into a froth and it was quite chilly or we would've stayed to sample on site. We bought several from each of their offerings to hold us over at our stay on Mull. My favorite was the one with the goat on it (I know). They were all fantastic and soooo glad we took the path less traveled. Just pulled this lovely pint glass out of the cabinet and it brought it all back, the beautiful scenery, the good times, the great beer... too bad it's not being filled with an Argdour Ale...

We’ve never taken a ferry to lunch. Such a unique experience. And to find a brewery on the other side? Come on!! Wasn’t our planned lunch spot but fate took a fantastic turn and we ended up here! Fergus and his staff were friendly, welcoming, and the best part…chatty! They took the time to visit with us, telling us their personal stories. Super fun! We highly recommend the beer!! Sheep wandering through the street is never a bad thing, right?! Fergus - thanks for the Clam Shell rec in Edinburgh. We’re sitting here now, waiting for our fish and chips and Deep Fried Mars bar...

We are on vacation from Canada and had one night in the Onich area. Our cab driver recommended we walk the 2 miles and take the ferry across to try Ardgour Ales and I am so glad he did.

I am pregnant so I couldn’t try any of the beers but my husband had the stout (and I’m sure a few others by the time we’re done here). He said it is fantastic.

They also were able to squeeze us in for pizza night last minute which was fantastic and ABSOLUTELY worth pre-booking for.

We will be back in a heart beat when we’re in...

What a find. A little ferry ride across Loch Linhe turn right. Walk approx 800 metres to work up a healthy thirst and your there. Ardgour Ales Brewery, a little bit of heaven awaits to welcome you with the finest of own brewed real Ales and other refreshments. A must visit if your in the area. Fergus and his staff gave my family and myself a warm friendly welcome. The Ales, well, Pale ale, Bitter, Lager stunning but my favourite the Stout. Enjoyed so much and can't wait to return next time we are in the area. Thanks so much.

Excellent wee find if you are staying nearby! We got the ferry over from our hired lodge( free by foot and with dog) I’m not usually an ale drinker but tried a light ale and it was fantastic. My husband and son had another option and were delighted. Approx a 10 min walk from ferry and ran by a lovely couple, great atmosphere with visitors popping in regularly. Sorry we missed pizza night .. maybe next time. Thank you 🙏
