Billington's of Lenzie — Restaurant in Scotland

I genuinely cannot fathom what I personally seem to be missing (in relation to all the excellence in food/service awards added to the seemingly good local reputation) about Billingtons.... I have tried the place many times but the food (and service) has always been substandard. However, I visited for breakfast with my daughter this morning and the food was utterly awful and the service was even worse!!

The food was brick hard and completely inedible. When I (politely) returned it, I was eventually refunded, but sadly not without the manager becoming smug and patronising in her attempt to try and belittle me in front of the couple of other customers by raising her voice and saying more than once ‘so sorry YOU didn’t like the food’ and ‘sorry YOU feel that way’ I asked her a couple of times if she would have eaten what she served to me and each time she refused to answer....

My 1st visit today Friday 1st April ( I think I was the April Fool) was very happy with the food I sat at a table was told it was reserved I never seen a sign but there was used coffee cups so I assumed the customers left then went to move to another table was told that was reserved which is fine then sat outside then no one came to take my order went inside was told sorry they never had a chance to come outside I seen the person drinking irn bru they had time to do that well I sat outside feeling forgotten about spent £15 in total on other products honestly never again sorry first...

I absolutely love this place. I love the selection of food and drinks, I think the staff are amazing. They are always friendly, courteous and polite. I love to have a visit, grab a coffee, a chat and relax. I but my beers and ciders from here as the selection is amazing! Ok, they are a higher priced than your local supermarket, but with good reason. You won't find this selection in a supermarket. Billington's is a gem of a local family run...
