Bonnie Prince Charlie — Restaurant in Scotland

A friend and I went for lunch and I ordered a fish finger sandwich. When it arrived by the time I found the actual fish, hidden among the massive volume of greasy batter, there was hardly enough of it to make half a sandwich. The menu also stated that it was served with iceberg lettuce, which it wasn't. I had to ask for it and again when it was brought back there was no iceberg lettuce, just about 3 bits of green stuff and 2 slices of tomato. I have recently been coming into the bonnie prince aka"The charlie", being new to the area, this pub is warm, friendly and reasonably priced a local treasure. Last Saturday night I returned for a pint and a wine and was served by a girl called Christine, a young woman whom I had not met as yet. Christine was warm and welcoming and noticed me waiting at the bar, she took my order and in a jiffy had cold pint Stella with a large glass of wine. Have popped in here numerous times over the years after being out for dinner or for a “quick pint” in the afternoon and staying till late and have always been made welcome. Pubs like this are a dying breed and we should always support them. Always a friendly smile and service is quick. The Karaoke on the weekend is a good laugh as well. Drinks are very well priced also.
