The café is another of those soulless places with no soft furnishings, so they're very loud. Pick your table, queue to order, then return to your table to discover that as you're a single person and they don't offer 'Reserved' notices, your table has been taken by a couple, and there's someone sitting there.... I had fish and chips, which was served with peas and homemade tartare sauce. The portion seemed enormous, two pieces of freshly cooked haddock on top of a pile of chips, with a bowl of peas and a tiny bowl of tartare sauce. The chips and the fish were very good, the batter light and perfectly cooked. There wasn't anywhere near enough of the tartare, and the peas were ghastly. Overcooked to the point of being wrinkled and yellow. Awful!

My husband had to leave me to wait, because we had to leave the motorhome site at 11. Server was polite and friendly, and did warn me that the hot food would take about 30 minutes due to being so busy. Food actually arrived in 20 minutes.
