I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience due to serious food safety concerns. We ordered from Celino’s on August 19th, and one of the dishes — the Allo Scoglio Pasta — contained spoiled crayfish. The smell was unmistakable and completely inedible. We didn’t eat anything else in the order out of caution, as the risk of food poisoning was too high. I grew up in Greece and know seafood — this was clearly off. Given that my mother was previously sick for weeks due to bad crayfish, we weren’t willing to take any chances and threw out the entire meal. I contacted the restaurant immediately. The manager acknowledged the issue and initially offered a replacement meal for collection only, which felt dismissive considering the seriousness of the situation. I was told I'd be called the next day by the area manager — that call never came. Eventually, someone called around 7pm and all they did was refund one meal and insinuate that we didn’t know what we were talking about. It was condescending and disappointing. Expecting us to collect a free meal from the same kitchen that nearly served us spoiled seafood is not a solution — it’s a lack of accountability. Pointing us toward Uber Eats to resolve the issue just felt like passing the buck. Food safety should be a top priority, and the lack of proper follow-up or genuine concern from the team is alarming. I hope no one else has to experience this

Nice Italian place with freshly cooked food. It has delie on site so you can stick up on italian cheese, olives cold meats or drinks. Menue is big with pasta , pizza , meats and two fish choices. All starters and mains are freshly cooked. It does lack some seasoning, salad on the plate was dry with no dressing which is disappointing. Pizza base is fantastic, freshly maid, thin and so soft but crispy , very authentic. The toppings can be refined but generous. All drinks available and great vine selection from Italy. Tables are small and good, not a fine dining. Toilets definitely need some attention. They were converted into storage room with paper all over the place and not a pleasant site. Service is attentive and fast, and fair. If they make a mistake they will rectify it. Prices are on the higher end for the overall experience and area, but food is good . It can improve on presentation and some attention to detail

Celino's Alexandra Parade is a family-owned Italian restaurant and delicatessen located in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. It is part of the Celino's chain of Italian food stores, which has been operating in Glasgow for over 30 years.

The restaurant serves a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, including pizza, pasta, risotto, and seafood, as well as daily specials and homemade desserts. The menu is prepared using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and many of the dishes are made using family recipes passed down through the generations.

In addition to the restaurant, Celino's Alexandra Parade also has a deli counter offering a wide range of Italian cured meats, cheeses, olives, and other delicacies, as well as a selection of wines and spirits from Italy and beyond. The deli counter is a popular spot for locals looking to stock up on ingredients for home-cooked meals or to grab a quick bite to eat.

The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with rustic decor and a friendly team of staff. It is open seven days a week, with lunch and dinner menus available. Celino's Alexandra Parade also offers a catering service, with options for weddings, parties, and...

Used to be very good. Something has happened recently and it is beyond terrible. Had 4 different servers over the course of the meal. Drinks order was forgotten and had to be taken again only for the wrong drinks to be brought to the table. Starters of mozzarella fritta and aranchini were cold in the middle. Aubergine parmesan consisted of two circles of aubergine with cheddar cheese on top and a tasteless marinara. The vegetable lasagna resembled the colour and consistency of cheap cinema nacho cheese and tasted like a very bad imitation of Mexican food. The server didn't seem bothered that it wasn't eaten. Chips were order but never delivered. Again servers didn't seem interested in fixing the issue. Honestly devastating this place for years was a neighborhood stable now it's an embarrassment to Italian food and the reputation that celinos had built for it's self. Responses to questions regarding quality and serves was brushed off as a new chef. There's more than a new chef going on all new incompetent wait staff and back of house that's pretending to know how to cook. Won't be back after coming...
