Nice little cafe in the Town of Golspie . The cafe itself from the outside actually looks small but when inside I was suprised it had plenty of room . The breakfast was a really clean none greasy one and had loads of flavour especially the stornaway black pudding and sausages , Really good breakfast . The prawn salad was abit over priced but had plenty of flavour and over all really good with fresh prawns and locally picked salad . The kids finger plate had a cheese sandwich with a few bits of fruit which is a good idea as it gives the kids a healthy choice and a few things to eat . The coffe itself was Well worth it , full of flavour and not a cheap coffee which makes a big difference in cafe's. The counter cake stand had loads of really cool and colourful cakes to choose from , also the decor was nice and modern . Over all a really nice cafe to get food and to sit and chill...

Went for the full breakfast. Not had a breakfast like in ages!! Outstanding! Very rarely does a meal from anywhere even remotely resemble what's on the menu flyers but it does here! Fresh, top quality ingredients, no mass produced frozen rubbish here, sausages and bacon were clearly from the local butchers, and the black pudding was to die for!

Looking at the menu, they do a load of gluten free too, handy to note and maybe bring the Mrs up next time (suffers from Coeliacs) we go out at the weekend.

Will certainly be going back there again whether it's for a quick bite while I'm working or whether...

Unfortunately our quick visit today to the Coffee Bothy was not an enjoyable.

My “mocha” was cold and not strong, my partners “mocha” was volcano hot, to the point that the milk was burnt. She took two sips and it was poured down the drain. It seemed that the young server was not properly trained to a high enough standard, her attitude was also unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude.

The toilet was also in an unsatisfactory condition, with a dirty floor.

We will be back in future and hope this was a one off as the shop was extremely busy. The other server was polite and the cafe itself seemed...

This place is a bit of a gem, the exterior shouldn't put you off, in fact its part of its charm. OK, its not fine dinning, but then its not Chelsea or Edinburgh. I had a roll and sausage with fried egg and it was quite big and very tasty. Given the current problems with supply costs (May 2022), we actualy thought it was reasonable given the size of the portions of cake other people were getting. The coffee was very good, and whilst not "strong" was more than acceptable to us. We found the staff very friendly and would go back without hesitation.

It was great to find this place open in December. The options were very good for late lunch. We had had a good long walk and we were both pretty hungry. We both opted for the macaroni and cheese. We did not have long to wait and it was a very generous helping. The cafe has a very cosy atmosphere and it was reasonably busy. One thing to note is the car park outside is a pay and display but you can park on the street for free if you get a good space. I enjoyed my lunch and it was a great choice for us.
