Well what a fabulous little find on our trip to Newcastleton, one of the best little Bistros we've had the pleasure of eating in during our Caravan holidays, food was amazing on all of our visits this week, beautiful food, well presented and detailed descriptions of food on the menu, I had the scallops and black pudding for a starter which was cooked to perfection, followed by King prawn and Monk fish Thai green curry, beautifully cooked! Fabulous find, very friendly owners and waiting staff, excellent service! We will be back to see you soon! Oh and very dog friendly, nothing was too much trouble. X

Excellent locally run bistro with local produce. Visited for a couple of days had breakfast one day and Sunday lunch the next. Excellent fresh and portion sizes to easily satisfy. Visited both pubs also for food on our visit but this place blew both out of the water. Not cheap, it's not a cafe, but really good value for the quality and size. She sources her meats from as far away as 20 feet across the road to the local butchers and you can tell. Will be back when we are back in the area.

We visited for the first time meeting up with our friend for a chat and a catch up. Clean and warm café, fabulous fire in the main seating area. We had our wee dog with us and dogs are welcome in the left hand room as you look at the front. Lovely sausage bun, millionaire's shortbread and coffee. Friendly customers and staff. Definitely worth a visit. Free and easy on street parking.

What a lovely place to eat. We met friends and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch late afternoon after a walk in the forest. The fish starter was really tasty and well presented - as were all the courses. We enjoyed the roast beef, the chicken and the haggis and black pudding stack and struggled to find room for the fantastic puddings - I can recommend the frangipani! The owner was very welcoming and friendly - I only wish we'd discovered the Cooshaw Kitchen...
