This is a great place for lunch. Run by a delightful team serving up delicious, very well prepared quite interesting lunches at sensible prices. Food and service is great. The restaurant itself is a bit confusing. 1980s out-of-tows office meets staff canteen with odd nic-nacs on display. Anyway it's all clean and very nice. It's busy, you might need to book ahead.

An excellent find for lunch after a big hike. The Gluten Free fish and chips were perfectly done (and YUM!), The traditional Skink (soup/stew) was so so good. The team there is very friendly, welcoming and interested. Yes, interested! If you get a window seat, the view is an added bonus.

Excellent seafood! Don't miss the Cullen skink. Had lunch here and it was fantastic. The food was exquisite and the flavours perfect. If you're in Scalloway, don't miss this place.

We were really looking forward to eating here today as I had researched the area and followed them on Instagram for a while etc, we had not booked and unfortunately when we arrived, although there were 5 tables unoccupied ( only 2 of which had reserved signs), we were told there was no availability today. when I asked about the small table in the corner with no reserved sign I got a “no, sorry”. As we began to leave a customer on the table close to us asked if we were having trouble getting a table as he was ready to leave, however again we were told by another staff member “ we are full today sorry you can’t sit there”. I am fully aware we are not the ‘easiest’ of customers with 3 small children in tow but the tone given by staff (management) was very unwelcoming and stern as if we weren’t welcome which I have never experienced before and this is not the first time we have not been able to get a table somewhere, but the let down was always much more positive and friendly. Certainly put me off returning. I really do hope that they were genuinely fully booked out and just customers hadn’t arrived instead of the feeling that was given to us which was we were not welcome to dine in their restaurant. However it did mean we got to try somewhere else which...

The food was really tasty and the views are great, but unfortunately I had quite an unpleasant experience which ruined it for me. I ordered a fish burger but asked for it without mayo (mayonnaise isn’t listed on the ingredients in the menu, so I specifically asked for them to leave the mayo out). When it came, I realised it had mayo in the bun so I apologetically asked the server if they could replace it. The server was very polite, but when they took it to who I think was the manager (who was only a few metres away from our table), she huffed loudly and said “well why on earth didn’t she say she couldn’t eat mayo!”. Regardless of the fact that I had said this, it felt really rude, and I was embarrassed, uncomfortable, and it made me want to get out of there as quickly as possible. To be really clear, the two younger servers who spoke to us directly were very friendly and polite and professional, but the person in charge made me feel really unwelcome and I would...

We often eat here. The food is excellent, quite a variety of choices. The lunchtime menu has sandwiches and toasties, to more filling items like fish & chips, Cullen Skink and the fantastic macaroni cheese. The evening meals are great, made to order meals e.g. steak are great. The chef is an adventurous fellow, and usually adds in a dish from other countries. He pulls this off without any problem, if any of these dishes is on then give them a try, we've never been disappointed with the food we have been served. For the dessert I recommend the cheesecake. Absolutely splendid. The service is also very good, staff are very efficient, helpful...
