I want to start off by saying that the manager was so lovely and accommodating and the food was tasty. But that’s where the good review ends. I really wish I had taken a photo as proof of the below as it’s so unbelievable!
Visited here 15/05/2022 at 5:30pm. I ordered the spinach and ricotta pasta and for £11.99, you would expect a full adult meal and to finish your meal feeling full and satisfied… but no, what actually arrived was a huge bowl of pasta sauce, 4 small pieces of pasta and 1 slice of garlic bread - genuinely thought she had brought me a child’s portion or a starter size! I complained to our waitress on 2 separate occasions about the fact she had served 4 small pieces of pasta and all I was told was “it comes like this” over and over and over again. I did eat the food because like I said, it was really tasty. But I had finished in less than 5 minutes. My friend had ordered a huge half chicken with fries, sweetcorn and gravy and this was also £11.99!!! I was so angry and the fact they still tried to charge me the full price was absolutely ridiculous. I asked for the manager who kindly discounted the price of my starter and she was very understanding. She couldn’t believe the size of the portion I had been served, she couldn’t believe they didn’t offer an extra portion and she couldn’t believe they tried to charge me full price! Our server was so so rude and I really wish I’d have gotten her name so I could name and shame her. First and last time here.
The lovely manager gained you the second star.
Reply to the below: I would suggest removing the meal from the mains section of the menu and adding to the childrens menu or the starter menu. 4 small pieces of pasta is not a substantial...

Came in with the family and the service we received was beyond trying to find words. Our table was set for us and the server blonde lady came to take our drink order and I asked for 5 refillable and we got asked about 10 questions do you want ice or not full fat or diet we have never been asked before, she then took our order and my husband made an amendment to his order is he hates chicken on the bone we asked for extra cajun instead then she asked me again at the ice machine and I explained again cajun, after she took the food order we had to go to the bar and ask for our salad bowls as she forgot to give them to us and then we got the salad and some of the pasta was frozen.
After we got our food took a while for them to check if all was ok. It took ages for our plates to get cleared and then we asked for dessert, got the menu flung onto the table and not even 2 seconds later do you know what you want, give us time to look at the menu don't force your customer to make a choice there and then.
While we were sitting there I noticed that the server was still in training and 3 other members of staff were standing there watching her and doing nothing to help her this is not a good standard of training for a new member of staff (coming from someone who works in hospitality).
Me, my husband and son were all ill last night which we think was the pasta as it was still frozen, Bad experience for an anniversary meal with the family won't be...
Read moreMy wife and I spent 4 days in East Kilbride visiting our son and daughter in law, staying at the Premier Inn which is across the way from the Harvester restaurant. (22nd to 25th August). We had our breakfast and evening meals at the Harvester and were very impressed with the variety and quality of the food. A big shout out to lovely Laura, our breakfast server who always had a big smile on her face and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Also a shout out to Tanisha and Anna who looked after us in the evenings, friendly, professional and with a great sense of humour. Thank you ladies for making our dining experience memorable and very enjoyable. We also have to thank Connor and Sam, the chefs who cooked and presented our food so well. It was fresh and of good quality and plentiful. A good variety of choices from the menu and all at a reasonable price. This restaurant caters well for vegetarians and vegans as well. We also noticed that customers were ordering food for home delivery which speaks loads for the high standard and quality of the food. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and with a congenial atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are up in Scotland and once again, thank you Laura, Tanisha, Anna, Conor and Sam for looking after us so well. You are an asset to the...
