On arrival, we were shouted at by the parking steward, who was very unfriendly and even said to my friends, “ah you’re English” – a presumptive (and frankly rude) comment, especially since the real issue was that we’d been ignored by the National Trust car park stewards for an hour and a half. I understand that the tourism may be the cause of stress to some, but it also keeps many businesses afloat - so be NICE to people for the love of God.

Read moreI can't thank these people enough. I came to visit for hiking in May and after a long walk I failed to load my bag into the car before driving away. Ian (Glenfinnan Coffee) kept it for me until I arrived back August. Super grateful to him.
Asides from that I had a coffee when I collected the bag and it was a really nice brew.
There's a large selection of coffees to buy, nothing beans and ground. Even had a bag of swiss water Brazilian. Can't wait to get it home to try it.

Read moreGreat place for a brew and a snack, quality of coffee is great even if you are a coffee snob. The church next door has great view of the loch, just sip your drink there to enjoy the moment.
You can rent a canoe at the place too, you will be heading down the boat ramp near the "Loch Shiel" to start your water journey, pretty chill just canoeing around.
Oh and the usual - it's not too far from the Glenfinnan Viaduct, if the car park is full, you can try your luck park your car here, but don't be a freeloader, buy a coffee/tea to support...
