Mixed reviews. Firstly the positive⦠great options for allergies - I had a lovely df/gf cake and coconut flat white. Also caters well for dogs with free dog treats!
However, in a park where many people go to take dogs a walk, Iām unsure why dogs are not allowed in the cafe. I had both my cockapoo and my 7 month old with me. The outside tables also donāt have a cover so if it was raining we wouldnāt be able to have visited at all.
Luckily it was a nice day so we sat outside. My friend asked the cafe staff if we could take a could of highchairs outside since we were not allowed to sit inside with the dog, however the lady said no highchairs outside. This seemed a bit of a strange rule and meant that we both had to sit with our wriggly babies on our laps while eating and wasnāt particularly enjoyable.
I think the cafe has great potential but dogs should really be allowed inside or have outside cover and highchairs provided for all customers regardless of where...

I had a gluten and dairy free tuna panini with chips, I got my own cutlery and condiments with my meal. It was absolutely delicious!
My partner had ham and cheese panini with chips.
I then bought a lemon drizzle cake and coconut cream cake. Both were gluten and dairy free and baked that morning. It is the best gluten-free sponge (on both cakes) I have tasted! The lemon drizzle was moist, soft, and full of lemon. The coconut cream cake again was moist and soft, and the butter cream was amazingly tasty for being dairy free. My partner had a taste and even complimented that you wouldn't be able to tell it was gluten or dairy free.
After chatting to the staff, nothing was too much effort, and it was obvious they knew about allergens and intolerances, hence why they have coeliac accreditation.
I will definitely be back and will recommend to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrilliant wee cafe set high in Beecraigs park. Serves breakfasts, and lunches including sandwiches, panini, baked potatoes and burgers, plus drinks and cake. Caters for a range of tastes and allergies with orders take separately for anyone with an allergy and sent to a different part of the kitchen then delivered straight to the table from that team. We enjoyed well filled panini with salad and added an extra filling and chips. Everything was delicious and we finished off with cake and a cuppa! It has amazing views across to the Pentlands, Binnie Craig, Arthur's Seat and if you are outside you can see the three bridges over the forth. There are tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the view while you eat/drink. Plenty of free parking and easy access on one level with automatic doors for anyone with mobility issues. There are walks around the park as well as a visitors centre next door to the cafe. Definitely worth a visit, I'll be...
