I'm not usually the one to write up a review but I went in here to the takeaway and just wanted a portion of chips and the person that served me began to put them into a recyclable soup tub and then said it would be £2.05 and I asked if that was a portion and the young guy asked another colleague about it and her reply was that it was new recyclable tubs but for the whole 10 chips in the soup tub this place has absolutely rediculous portion standards not to mention I went in here with my autistic son just to get him chips and when I wouldn't pay for the portion size and had to leave he had a meltdown but I won't be succumbed to paying those prices for a portion like that. Businesses like this that has huge revenue yearly and then have the cheek to charge people these prices for poor portions when there's a cost of living crisis going on is what shows who the greedy business owners are. Will never visit another JG Ross again and give them my money and based on reviews previously I'm not the only person that's got eyes to see what's going on with portions and see that this place wants to just rip people off.
I'll spend my money on another local business that actually appreciates the custom and knows...
Read moreThe menu needs to be clear with what is gluten free and dairy free. Had to go up and stand in the line to ask what I could have and no body really knew, apart from to tell me there was gluten free bread but they didnt know what fillings i could have in a sandwich. Eventually settled on the stovies and was surprised at how small the portion was, the chidrens meals were bigger or the same size. The portion size for the stovies needs to go up and the amount of salt in it, needs to come down. I ended up giving mine to my husband who also had stovies and thought it salty too, which is saying something cause he likes his salt. The girl working on the tills was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. The restaurant itself is set out well with plenty of seating and spaced nicely. Liked that they had a park for the...
Read moreWhen it takes less time for your food to arrive than it does to order it something is far wrong! Self service is great when it works. It does not work here 20 minutes standing in a queue to place my own order, the woman at the till was so slow and seemed to be completely unaware of the situation. Food was decent enough and arrived after 10 mins but the service, was terrible with dirty dishes everywhere, no condiments on the table and the place was very cold. Same story in the shop. Huge queue for the post office but no one serving the other till. Typical Inverurie food experience "that'll do" attitude that 99% of people are so used to they are now...
