What a hidden gem! The hospitality here and general ambience was done to absolute perfection - perfectly balancing a homely welcome with feeling you've gone out for a treat

The starter I had (souffle) was fabulous, one of the best starters I've had, the mains were very good but my beef was slightly over the requested order - though the meal was nontheless very enjoyable. The dessert options were traditional and for my personal tastes a little hearty after a very meaty menu. Wonderful surprise...stayed at the Gleneagles Resort, which is a singular experience in itself. Eating in the hotel every night, however, had its limitations. If you're looking for a night off the property, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Its simple and unpretentious exterior belies what is found within. Completely family-owned and run, the food, service and decor are of the highest specification.

Highly recommended is the seafood souffle as an appetizer, the venison fillet and of course, stick toffee pudding, which is noteworthy. The wine list is commendable. An altogether enjoyable...

Auchterarder and Gleneagles have some fantastic restaurants but Jon & Fernanda's for us comes out on top. It's located in the centre of town and only a 5 minutes walk from the free carpark, alternatively park on the road. I'd suggest booking in advance as it is a very popular place. There's always a warm welcome and the setting is both a cosy and quiet one. The food, it's quality and its presentation speaks for itself.
