YOUR TRUTHFULL REVIEWER BACK AGAIN & I SAT IN.
You have to put your order in at the counter then find a seat & listen to the golden oldies music untill your food gets brought to u at your table . The best quality ministrone soup, I've tasted - why❓ 'cos it's fully loaded & thick & it's the same with what they call lentil soup but it's more like a vegetable soup - loaded & thick too & I THINK BOTH SOUPS WERE ONLY £1.50 🤔 EACH which is hard to believe, but check it out for yourselves - it may have been £2.50 either way it's still cheep at that. The macaroni & cheese is ok too but i've tasted better, anyway it was all scoffed up & it was quite filling. Regarding their cold meat OH! their chips ain't limp & greasy either. Now the SALAD ROLL they use quality lettuce 🥬 & not the cheep stuff that can stick in one's throat - most of the staff like a laugh 🤣 & many from the works in the Middlefield industrial estate come in for takeaways. They also have some seats & tables outside when the weather is favourable BUT u won't be able to see the KELPIES from that café ☹️ So what? Order arrived within an hour, all food was hot.
No reheats here, or bain maried for hours, its ALL freshly cooked to order.
The place itself is loved by locals in falkirk, it has fair pricing, and is very clean, and whilst busy, you can always find a seat, the cafe is probably the best "greasy spoon" in central Scotland, it certainly puts the infamous Connels chain to shame.
Meat wise, they have decent black pudding, sausages, burgers, and bacon, its not cheap frozen food like others use.
If your in the area, make a beeline for here, both your wallet, and your belly will...
