Read moreUp from Essex, Visiting friends locally. Fabulous place. Extending into property next door. Owner/chef is lovely and engages well the diners. Food is basic/simple and tasty. Menu is incredibly limited, 3 starters, 1was sold out so it was narrowed to snails or small slices of sausage/salami. ONLY 1 main course,. On our evening was port in cider, tasty BUT 1) not everyone eats pork (certainly not my meat of choice), 2) no vegs, not even offered as a side dish. Needed mash potatoes and green beans, or something. Desserts again limited to 2/3 choices. All very tasty but need more variety. Currently no drink licence so bring your own wine etc.
Hope to return when fully opened into NextDoor, and hopefully a more...

Incredible value too — just £53 for two, including corkage. Without a doubt, the best dining experience we’ve had in many years. We’ll...
