Maggie's Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

We sat outside because it was sunny, they have a lot of tables outside. It's not the best view in the world, but there was a good atmosphere and most tables were full. The bar staff were a bit unsure of their stock and we got charged two different prices for the two rounds we had, even though they were the same drinks. There was reasonable selection of lager and cider on draught but the only IPA I saw was Innis & Gunn Gunnpowder - which is a good IPA but they could do with a choice. The prices are very low, and if you're a student they're even lower. I think we were under £15 for 2 x Gunnnppwder and 2 x Corona ( 330ml bottles). We didn't get any food but the menu had more than just the usual burgers and hot dogs, so we'll definitely go back...

Really warm helpful service. The person behind the bar was incredibly patient whilst we dithered over the menu. She explained about the buzzer system, and offered to bring the food out to us. The food itself was, quite simply fantastic. Two of us had the Buddha bowl, and the third had macaroni cheese. The Buddha bowl had about 7 or 8 ingredients, all of which were delicious. We had stayed a bit longer and bought a second round of coffees, and when we went to return the tray and empty cups, the staff member thanked us so sweetly. To cap it all, it was amazing value for money. Go. Go now. Do not hesitate. While you are there, have a wander around the campus- it is tree filled, has a little lake, and an outdoor gym, if that...

I LOVE Maggie's!! They have so many delicious vegan and gluten free options so it's almost hard for me to choose what I want each time I'm there! I love sitting in the room with the big screen and watching the music videos play. I also really like sitting outside in the patio area when the weather is nice. The staff is very friendly and it's nothing but good vibes in there. 😋 I might add that I'm a study abroad student visiting from Arkansas, USA.
