Monas Of Muckhart — Restaurant in Scotland

Was driving back to Perthshire after staying the night in Tillicoultry. Looking for somewhere to enjoy breakfast. Heading through Muckhart sometime after 9am (19th Nov 2021), and I spot Monas is open. Friendly female staff member takes my order of just bacon and scrambled eggs, with a black coffee. When order comes out I am pleasantly surprised twofold. First the bacon is streaky and crispy (fatty and filling, delicious, mmm), as apposed to usual lean medallion rashers. Second, I had a substantial quantity of scrambled egg to go with it. The coffee was also great, and I washed down my meal with it. This meal was such a good start to my day that I ended up stopping in several other small towns for even more bacon, eggs and coffee, while driving back home. A good start...

We had breakfast at Monas. Ordered the Mighty Mona which consisted of bacon, black pudding, fried egg and Scottish slice. All stacked up inside a soft white batch. Very tasty and hot. We also had teas and coffees which were again, excellent. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend ! Another fantastic visit to Mona's ! The Mighty Mona breakfast batch is just so tasty, lovingly prepared with all fresh ingredients. Washed down with piping hot teas and coffees I just wish this establishment was on my doorstep. By the way the homemade tea bread cake is not to be missed. We bought a ginger cake to take home as well. Thankyou to everyone at Mona's, just what we needed before out journey home to Wirral....

Lovely wee find whilst out for a wee run in the car this afternoon! Smashing wee coffee shop, lovely staff very friendly, nice menu plenty of choices! Lovely selection of cakes and scones all home made and very reasonable and the bonus of take away! My husband and I both had the lentil soup and sandwich combo it was beautiful, Jim had a coronation chicken sandwich I had a toastie with cheese and pineapple all fresh made and nice presentation!
