Polkemmet Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

Went there a couple of months ago with my husband . The food we had was nice. The staff were laughing loudly at a customer ( who didn’t seem to be sharing the joke, and who looked uncomfortable) . This went on for 15 minutes even after the customer had left and all didn’t feel friendly or professional. The whole front of the shop by the till is covered in passive aggressive signs. Yet another new set of owners! My BFF and I have been meeting here for decades and really miss when the cafe is closed! So happy that it's back and open each day till 5pm! Food was very basic and mediocre. I ordered a cheese and onion toastie - it didn't come with any onions sadly. My friend ordered soup which was lukewarm - much like the service from the staff.
