Punto Kilmacolm — Restaurant in Scotland

This place is a wee gem in Kilmacolm. Came in and place was full, waitress could not have been more helpful. Asked if we were happy to have a drink while the kitchen finished big table order and a take away one.This was no problem and appreciated the honesty, a lot of restaurants wouldn’t have said anything and left you waiting. When food came it was delicious…..could not fault it at all. Seabass for me, prawn pasta for my friend. Staff are a credit, when we were last people in the place we said we’d drink up and let them close, they said there was no rush and happy to get us another drink should we wish one, again other places would be rushing you out the door. Very dissapointing, I ordered two meals to takeaway 15 Nov 1 Rissoto Don Pollo, when opened there was a tub of Rissoto ,four small pieces of chicken one of which was solid gristle, the other meal was Blody Mary Spaghetti de Mare which came with small clams in their shell three of the shells were empty. This was certainly not what we were expecting, the spaghetti meal was tasty but not much seafood. Overall very disappointing experience, which we will not be repeating certainly not worth the money £35 for two meals. Don't know why a chef would let a chicken dish leave the kitchen with lumps of gristle and three small pieces of chicken plus empty...

Excellent place for lunch or dinner- food is top notch, and service was great.

We came in as a party of 11. Service and attentiveness from the team was brilliant considering the amount of us in… always someone nearby to get us another drink or answer a question. Team great with food allergies and intolerances, felt really well looked after.
